With Halloween just around the corner I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the last two boxes of Hostess’s newest DC Universe collaboration. The first one to grab my eyes as cool was The Flash Cakes,

with its “Frosted Chocolate Cake with Creamy Filling”, although its cool to see The Flash on the box it would have been nicer to have The Flash Symbol right on the cake, the taste was ok but nowhere near as good as Hostess’s Orange Cupcake and taste nothing like its chocolate counterpart.

What really blew my mind was what was next to it, Glo Balls. This isn’t the first time that Hostess has tried to sell Glo Balls but the older versions were mimicking the style of a Pumpkin and the Coconut dyed orange.

But There he was Hal Jordan, although they don’t taste any Different there its still pretty cool to see Hal Jordan getting the respect he deserved over the years.

Which isn’t saying a whole lot that you’re on the box of Hostess cakes. Hal Jordan isn’t the only superhero to have his own Green snack cake The Hulk got his own cake done in similar fasion as The Flash Cakes except of coarse he had an all green cupcake.

And Even Before that The Ninja Turtles Had there own Fruit Pie

Over all the best part about the Hostess promotion is that even Batman and Superman are getting in on the action and when you visit the Hostess Web-page you have a chance to pick Between the Four Characters Superman, Batman, Green Lantern Or The Flash, where have to shoot a Hostess cake at an Asteroid Plummeting to Earth in Order to Win Over 1 Million in Prizes.

Over all the promotion is an excellent promotion giving the two biggest comic book characters Batman and Superman the cover of the most well known Hostess snacks while providing The Flash and Green Lantern their own individual promotion. Over all taste isn’t that impressive, it’s the chance to win prizes and see your favorite heros in a different light, shooting Hostess cakes at asteroids.
