"It takes a monster to defeat a monster."
A new age of Gods and Monsters is nearly upon us and earlier today, Universal Pictures debuted the third and final theatrical trailer for the first installment in their burgeoning Dark Universe: The Mummy.
Tom Cruise takes center stage as Nick Morton, who, as the trailer reveals, will indeed be cursed by Sofia Boutella's title character for an evil purpose and will have to embrace his inner monster to take her down. Whether this means Cruise will take on a Van Helsing-esque role moving forward into future monster movies is yet-to-be-seen, but it is certainly a possibility that can't be ruled out.

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
