A Christmas List For PaulRom

A Christmas List For PaulRom

Christmas is officially coming up in a couple weeks, and with a holiday spirit I decided to join the growing number of CBM users in listing the things that I would like to be given this year.

Christmas is the one day every year that we all look forward to. One of the best things about the holiday is that gifts are always being given, and with that in mind I went ahead and listed the following items that I would love to get this year. Some are things I've had my eyes on for some months/years, while others have been released more recently.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
$16.99

X-Men: First Class
$15.99

I would list the Blu-Ray versions, but I unfortunately don't have a Blu-Ray player so I'm stuck with the DVD's for now. Both X-Men: First Class and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes were real surprises this year, ending up being some of the best movies of 2011. The former successfully brought the much maligned X-Men film series back to form, while the latter is one of the best examples of a film reboot as of late. I highly recommend both films.

LEGO Darth Vader Alarm Clock
$29.99

Being a LEGO Star Wars geek, this is something I've been looking at for a few months now. This LEGO Darth Vader clock is a must-have addition to the night table, dorm room or executive desk of any Star Wars fan. This 8" tall alarm clock features a back-lit red LCD display and and snooze function. It can be posed to stand, sit or run and has movable arms. The clock displays 12- or 24-hour formats and it uses 2 AAA batteries, which are included. Dimensions: 3"L x 3"W x 8"H

Batman Beyond: The Complete Series
$71.99

Batman Beyond is one of my favorite animated shows, so of course I'd love to own the complete series. The bonus features include all 52 episodes, Creator commentaries, Season retrospectives, Bonus disc with 95 minutes of new special features: Secret Origin The Story of DC Comics documentary and three all-new featurettes, and a booklet featuring artwork from the DC archives. I highly recommend this series to fans of futuristic animated shows, as well as Batman fans in general.

The Dark Knight Returns
$9.44

Unfortunately, I have yet to read the entire thing of Frank Miller's classic. I've read some of it online, but I've loved what I've read. Hopefully I'll be able to purchase it in its entirety in the (Very) near future, at least by the time the proposed animated film is released. The story features a long retired Bruce Wayne, seeing crime overtake Gotham City, putting on the cowl again and saving the city.

Star Wars Limited Edition PEZ Collector's Set
$55

Another item I've been looking at for a while as a Star Wars fanatic, I'm also an avid Pez dispenser collector. I do own the R2-D2 dispenser (as well as the XL version), but not the rest. From L-R: Death Star, Boba Fett, General Grievous, Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Yoda and C-3PO

Iron Man Hoodie
$59.99

I usually don't wear superhero-related clothing, but this is something that I REALLY want. Red 60% cotton, 40% polyester hoodie with yellow and black accents, some of which are screenprinted, and some of which are embroidered for added effect. Red arm and waist ribbing. Zips up to the neck, which has black hood pulls. Printed 360° for maximum effect.

LEGO Death Star
$399.99

This is something that I likely won't get anytime soon (due to the high price), but as a LEGO/Star Wars fan it'd be impossible not to want this. Reenacting scenes from A New Hope and Return Of The Jedi, the list of minifigures include Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, and Emperor Palpatine (to list a few).

Well, that's my 2011 Christmas list. Feel free to post your own list as well.
