ANNOUNCEMENT: No "Beat Galactus" Quiz Tonight - Instead, a VERY Special Episode of...MEET THE MANAGEMENT

We're postponing our regularly scheduled quiz at 5pm PST so that we can give our community a chance to question, criticize or outright castrate the owners. Jim and Nate will be there to take the heat, as will many of our volunteers. See you there!

As you know, Thursdays is usually reserved for our trivia quizzing in chat, and Sunday night was our "meet the management" chat--which we haven't done since last month. But given the events of the past weekend, we thought it was time again. So, meet us in chat at...

5:00pm PST in the Chatroom!

In case ya don't know... The site Owners of ComicBookMovie.com are:
Our fearless leader is the product of an unholy union between closely related West Virginia hillbillies. Jim Littler, also known as Galactus, is the Overlord and Editor-in-Chief of CBM. He manages the site's content, contributors and volunteers, as well as all the marketing and promotion. He is a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia and has worked in content development at such Internet icons as AOL, UGO, Fandom.com and AnotherUniverse.com.

Nate Best is our "Master of the Web". He's the developer, designer and programmer that actually put this awesome mess together. Whenever there is a technical problem on the site, Nate is the one to put it right, and to reprimand Jim for messing around with his code. He is also an avid gamer and hosts "Beat Galactus" from time to time.

About ComicBookMovie.com
ComicBookMovie.com appeared online in 2003, just before the comic book movie boom hit big. Jim and Nate, both having a love of comic books and movies since childhood, left their jobs to develop CBM into what it is today--the #1 site in the genre with 8 million monthly visitors, and in the top 2000 of all websites on the entire web. The community that has developed on CBM is one of the most fun and entertaining aspects of our site.

In 2008, the site was converted to a "user-generated" model. The content is 100% produced BY the fans and users of the site. Articles submitted are voted to the homepage by users, or may be moved there by a volunteer editor. Regular contributors of quality articles are given privileges on the site ("trusted user" status) which allows them to bypass the editors and go directly to the main. Those who will agree to help edit the contributions of others for homepage placement, are given "power user" status. Any user interested in helping the site need only show they are willing and able to do so and they will be advanced. Competition for breaking news is high here, but that is also a part of what makes ComicBookMovie.com unique and fun. Join us!
