As I'm not sure I've heard any of th others I'm saying Watchmen but I would guess it would win anyway in my book!

Wanted also had a pretty awesome soundtrack, although i'll admit that the film itself was not very faithful to the source material.

If i had to choose from the list though, i'd pick watchmen, and simply because most, if not all of those songs are classics

Watchmen's sound track was the best hands down. It's just epic.

Watchmen shouldn't count since every song in the film felt completely out of place, adding nothing.

that's true betty...but so did almost all the other movies imo, watchmen just had better songs.

Doubt anyone would agree though, lol

@Anil-yes I did! My bad.

My favorite is The Crow soundtrack. Like teabag said, it really added to the ambiance of the film, istead of being just random noise in the back ground.

Watchmen is a close second though. I love the fact that it was totally random and off.

Cure - Burn
Seal - Kiss from a Rose

@Multi-I guess those aren't the words I meant to use. I think it was unexpected. I kind of went in thinking I would hear more of what is on the other soundtracks listed above: metal, gothic-type.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the soundtrack to Watchmen. It was a perfect fit for the film and made it that much better.

Does anyone agree that Watchmen had the most generic Soundtrack on the face of the Earth?

Multi--I don't think the soundtrack for Watchmen was off from the theme of the movie. It's just that alot of those classics bring with them ingrained imagery and themes, themselves. They were trying to use these songs ability to illicit an emotional response to make the story seem more real and accepting. I think it worked in some cases and not in others.

The times they are a changing seemed to work in the beginning. Everything after didn't work for me. The music in the rest of the film stuck out like a sore thumb, seemingly announcing that it doesn't fit. Most of the time it made me laugh out loud. Hallelujah? omg, talk about ruining a perfectly good yet already awkward sex scene. Wasn't that just one panel in the comic? Nightowl cant get it up. They go out and do some heroing. Then they [frick]. Dont get me wrong I was very glad to see her naked! Hallelujah ruined it though. Hallelujah! Oh, I've wanted to get in that vag for years but I was cock-blocked by omnipotent blue man penis but now, oh! Hallelujah!

Then theres the end when they're in the arctic. When All Along the Watchtower plays as they fly in an owl head over a frozen wasteland. They got the flying part right and the war part right I guess. But that song conjures up vietnam movies or actual footage I've seen from the 'copter view. I guess I've watched too much Tour of Duty and other vietnam shows. That song really stuck out as a bad choice.

That song is even in the comic. I think they mention listening to it as Ror and Owl cruise up to Ozzy's fortress of solitude. Even when I read that years ago I thought it was a bad choice. I really don't think there was enough artistic blending going on, visually or musically.

Everything felt like:

And in this scene Nightowl and the Comedian descend into the riot in the streets. (que Boogie Man)

Watching the movie felt like reading a beat sheet. Man, I really didn't mean to go on and on about this. I cant discuss why the music didn't work without mentioning problems I had with the movie as well. And there are like no good topics lately. The costume contest is over. Nothing to look forward to. I'm a sad panda.

@Leee- Thanks. I know, it's a tough decision. I'm with you on the SCORE though. Nothing beats Superman, although Danny Elfman's Batman theme was pretty damn good too!

How the hell was the watchmen sound track out of place when most of it was taken from the flipping book?????

Yeesh.

I selected Crow, as every single track I hear instantly triggers the scene from which it came from.
