Although the film has courted controversy with both the religious and non-religious, it has never the less proven popular with the audience, raking in $44m at the US Box Office since it's release and seeing off competition from Divergent and Muppets Most Wanted.

Whilst it's earnings were no doubt helped by the later release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in th US Paul Dagarabedian of Rentrak believes it may set a new trend for films; "I think these biblical themed movies are like the new frontier for Hollywood" said the senior analyst for box office tracker "Hollywood hadn't cracked the code on a biblical movie that would have mainstream appeal. Now I think they've figured it out" he told the BBC.

So what do you guys think? Are biblical/religious based films the new CBMs?

Noah tells the story of one man chosen by God to undertake a momentous mission of rescue before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world. Directed by Darren Aronofsky from a screenplay by Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel and starring Russell Crowe, Ray Winstone, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Watson Noah is out now.

Well I would like to see more stories from the Bible. I would love to see a story from Revelation. I'm not talking about the Left Behind series. But more of a military style movie. With the world in chaos it would be interesting to see a story from the side of someone in the Army or something. This way you get to see what they would have to do. The only problem about Revelation is it would cost a lot of money to make a very cool story.

I hope with this doing well Paradise Lost can now finally come out.

So from what I've heard, apparently Noah is a vegan messiah in this. And the reason for God sending the flood is because mankind are carnivores.
