Clive Barker is bringing HELLRAISER back to comic books beginning in March and he's bringing it to BOOM! Studios. Joining Barker will be co-writer Christopher Monfette and artist Leonardo Manco. HELLRAISER #1 will feature Nick Percival and Tim Bradstreet covers and will be an ongoing title. HELLRAISER: MATERSORKS VOL. 1 will also be debuting in March and will be reprinting the Marvel HELLRAISER stories.

The MASTERWORKS series debut will feature Pinhead stories from classic creators such as Clive Barker, Mike Mignola, Alex Ross and Neil Gaimen.

Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon...

“Beyond being a legendary creator of all things macabre, Clive Barker is truly an amazing individual and I’m proud to be able to work with him on reviving one of his most celebrated creations with HELLRAISER. I’ve known Clive for years, but this is the first chance we’ve had to work together and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s been unbelievably gratifying to develop this series and witness the visceral, relentless, and shocking story that Clive has in store for a new generation of horror fans. Readers beware! Hell comes home this March!”

I like the first film, and the book..although Barker is seriously messed up individual..and not always in a good way! I much prefer Nightbreed though.

@Ror yeah, but the Nightbreed movie was....lacking.

Barker is quite messed up, I'd say, but sometimes ya just gotta have some messed up people to get some fantastic creations. Seriously, is there much of anything scarier than Cenobites?

I have to admit that out of all the classic 80s horror flicks, Hellraiser is by far the most superior. It has the gore, the main monster, but at the same time it has a very unique and original story. I hope the comic does well and perhaps bring interest back to this film and possible cause a new one to spawn.
