Aussie Hugh Jackman has just won the Peoples Choice Award for Best Action Star for portaying everyones favorite Canucklehead, Wolverine.



Unfortunately, he did not drop any hints about the future of the X-Franchise.

He did thank the fans by saying if it wasn't for us, there would not be a Wolverine.

HAWK- I thought that Jackman's performance was good in "Wolverine," but it was buried under bad dialogue and a poorly made film.

He's the best at what he does and that's playing Wolverine. He better do old man logan, that would be awesome, if they ever do it that is. If Marvel can get x-men and wolverine back from Fox

its the peoples choice awards. the people there always win. never trust people to decide the vote. let professionals do it. thats why the oscars have a good committee, if they didnt twigay would win every award

Hugh Jackman is good with action but he
is not physically right for Logan!
Logan is 5'3" officially on his Marvel bio!
Hugh is 6'2". That's almost a foot taller!

If that's the case why don't they have a midget

I can see Hugh getting this when X-men came out but
this year?

Not only do I hate Hollywood I hate whoever voted

actually should be shorter than her. But I'll even take AS
short as her but he's a giant! Heck Jackman is tall
enough to play Captain America! There ya go!

Tea@ don't get me wrong I love Hugh as Wolverine I
I was just a little disappointed at first that he
wasn't real short! But Hugh was so good he won me over!

I just say if they ever reboot, to use Christian Kane
or someone who is short to play Logan! It would be
more accurate!

jackman has always been great for wolverine. origins was poorly made because his salary was 40 millions of a 150 million budget. so the rest of the budget was also divided into salaries. and what remained of it was used to make an action movie. which was not a good thing. the SFX were crappy for a 2009 movie.

Is it really a big deal how tall/short he is? I mean in the grand scheme of things, really?? Anyway, its not to me. Jackman is a great Wolvie..he was a great Wolvie in Origins too despite the movies shortcomings so Im glad to see him win stuff.

who ever hated the movie can go [frick] themselves. grant it it wasn't up there with other great comic book movies like Dark Knight for those on Batman's dick but Wolverine is a different creature if you will. i'll admit they messed up on Deadpool. the secret Deadpool ending kinda made up for it.but all and all it was a great movie. action packed and good eye candy. i would see this movie over and over again. and i hope that the fact they put Gambit in the movie is to set up an X-Men 4 with him in it. It would make sense plus all the X-Men characters we've gotten in the series. I just hope XOW 2 is better.

Ok, so I've been playing that X-men Origins Wolverine game and it's just Hugh Jackman's voice and I'm getting really pissed everytime he talks. He says "darlin" bout a dozen times and he really just doesn't sound like wolvie at all. I wanna see a small crazy dude as wolverine, not this pretty boy.

Crappy movie or not, Jackman did well with the role he played. He doesn't control the writing and direction of the movie. Not sure who else would be the best action star for last year other than Sam Worthington. I think I prefer Jackman over Worthington at this point.

JACKMAN IS A STAND UP GUY, HE ACTS, HE DOESN'T CONTROL EVERY DETAILTRUE..THE ONE THING HE WANTS THOUGH IS TO TRY HIS BEST TO PLEASE THE FANS..HEY, ITS FOX. BUT LOOK AT WHAT THE GUY DID TO LOOK THE PART..HE HAD MUSCLES FOR DAYS. PEOPLE WILL HATE, BUT THE GUY DID HIS BEST WITH WHAT HE WAS GIVEN TO DO.

wondering why everyone hated Origins so much. All I keep hearing is that it sucked, but no reasons why. There were a couple of things that I didn't like but overall I thought the film was very entertaining. Hugh and Liev were great in it. I didn't like the adamantium bullet, although I don't like what they did with Deadpool....I think that the actual character of weapon XI was pretty awesome. I don't like the fact that they put Gambit in that timeline, but at least we finally got to see him and it was a decent portrayal.

I agree..mostly. I think the main reason people trash it so much was just the sheer disappointment. As entertaining as I found the movie, Wolverines first solo outing should have been much better. That being said, people don't seem to be able to look past the stuff like Deadpool etc to see the great things that they did right. But in saying that, the dialog was a bit rubbish, and it was very cliched(the big NOOOOOO camera pan etc). Anyway, like you say, I thought Liev and Jackman nailed it. Gambit was a bit shit though!

Jason Statham should of been wolverine. He's short, a tank, and has the attitude. Give him a wig and a canadian accent and it would of been beautiful. I know he always plays the same character in all his movies, but that character always reminds me of wolverine

i would love to see wolverine fight omega red in the films now that would be a great fight with omega red draining wolverines powers with the tentacles and throwing him throw the air wolverine would have to run for the first time or die.

just because the movie as a whole was dissapointing does not meen hugh doesnt deserve an award. ill be the first to say i wasnt happy with the movie, at first. when i walked out of the theatre i was completely pissed. then after awhile i sat back and looked at it as a movie, and looking at it that way its not bad really. sure as an adaptation it was very poor, but as a general movie, like Ror said, it kept me entertained and did have some good in it. saying that he shouldnt win an award though is just asinine. hugh plays a great wolverine and its nice to see him being recognized for it.

fault, he didn't write it or direct it! He does Wolverine
very good but I wanna see a shorter guy in the roll, REAL
