Each year, I put together a list of actors, film makers, musicians, artists and the like who have passed on through out the year. We lost some great and talented people this year and their legacy will live on through their achievements.

As the 2011 year comes to a close, I’d like to take a look back at the actors, actresses. musicians and others who have passed on this year. There is no doubt that these celebrities have left their mark on our society and in their respective fields and I’d like to say thank you to them for their contributions.

All of these actors, athletes, musicians, politicians and artists have left behind a legacy that we have all been able to enjoy in some form or another and I think Daniel Tosh says it best "...and for that, we thank you." May they all rest in peace.

its sad to see all these people die, but i'm not sure why Jack Kerkovian is up there. he is a criminal and a murderer, and i see no reason to honor him. i dont wish death on anybody, but he was a pretty horrible person.

It's unfortunate that so many talented and beloved people died this year. Macho Man? Patrice O'neill? Dewayne McDuffie? Ryan 'the only funny person on jackass' Dunn? Lots of people died unexpectedly. RIP

Also, dont mean to sound like an ass, but isnt it ironic that a woman named Amy Winehouse died of alcoholism? Good singer though. One of the few original these days. RIP too.
