One month ago, we got our first look at some concept art for a Millarworld crossover that unites Mark Millar's comic book characters from Kick-Ass, Nemesis and Superior. Now, the final artwork by Leinil Francis Yu has been revealed and Millar has provided an explanation of what this "crossover" is all about:

"People kept suggesting I do a crossover with the Millarworld characters and I kind of loved the idea. It wouldn't make sense as a story as they all exist in their own distinct universes. But I was talking to Leinil in New York about this a few weeks back and we came up with this idea of spreading the image across three variants, each character touching the front cover of another book and it seemed very exciting. These are my wee babies so to see them all playing together gives me a warm glow.

Yu's variant covers will appear on Kick-Ass #2, Superior #4 and Nemesis #4.

I like the picture but it is such an odd image. Evil Batman in white trying to kill the kids with a Superman getting in the way. Bullet's bouncing off Supes is a pretty classic image so it is hard not to see it in those terms.

Not read any of these but I have to give Millar credit for twisting conventions to hell and back to produce some interesting stories.

Awesome. He's the guy behind civil war and old man Logan. I love this guy and whatever material he puts out there.

@lee...well there may be a way to do it. Have the Nemesis and Superior comics be in Dave's world, and he day dreams what it would be like to team up with Superior to take down Nemesis

It's not a crossover per se. The characters will "crossover" in variant covers for each of their normal monthly issues, and the variants put together produce the image above. Like Millar said, they are from separate universes... Wouldn't make sense.

He should just make an out of canon mini-series in which they crossover.
