RESULTS: Would You Like To See Jason Statham Play A Superhero?

After the actor revealed that he's not particularly interested in any "fairy-like" superhero roles, I asked you guys whether or not you actually want to see him play one, and here are the result for both that and several other polls in full...

You can click HERE to read British actor Jason Statham's comments about the chances of him ever considering a superhero role on the big screen, but when I asked you guys whether or not you'd actually like to see him play one, over 1200 of you voted and the answer was no...but only just! Personally, I think he's probably more suited to a villain, but only time will tell whether we ever see him in a comic book movie! I've also included the results to a few other random polls I've included in various articles over the past week, so be sure to check them all out below and then share your thoughts in the usual place! And as always, thanks for voting.

not unless he's driving something... he'd make a great plus-one... or a get-away-driver for a lame villain...

Statham has come to the unpleasant realization that there's no real interest by Hollywood to see him play a superhero so he's acting like a little biatch. And at the same time has probably lost a fraction of those fans that would like to see him don a costume.

It's like the guy that gets turned down a lot then claims all the girls were ugly anyway, hey I know from second hand experience :)

He could play Rogaine Man! The hero who uses his male-pattern baldness to blind his opponents with the sheen of his head!

Well...Glad we got to the bottom of that one...This just in, Colonel Gadaffi doesn't like The Dark Knight...The CIA were going to let him slip out if the country as long as he kept the British and American back room deals quiet but a spokesman for the CIA was quoted as saying 'Hell, we didn't really care what he'd done to his own but he crossed the line when he said he didn't like that there superhero movie by that nice English fella.' In a statement to the Press Statham has since retracted his comments, apparently scared of the wrath that might be coming his way from comicbookmovie.com followers.

Maybe Statham would've made a good Judge Dredd. But his acting skills are shite anyway so no loss to the comic book world.

n yeah bulls eye too.. heck! he can even play wolverine but he'll need to wear a wig.
n if henry cavill, hugh jackman and christian bale can get an american accent y not jason?

Statham is his own character, the only reason its hard to see him play one of these roles is because that will go against who he is. And of course some people on here are gonna be crying cause he insulted superhero movies. I say who cares, he's entitled to his opinion

Well I didn't vote, but I would've voted yes too. He'd be good as an anti-hero like Punisher. But I personally don't want a Punisher movie, but you guys gets my drift...

He was so good in the video game adaptation "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale"
All the acting was top notch. Burt Reynolds as a king (with hillbilly accent) was great. make Statahm play Deadpool and drop, the movie and his arrogant fairy like ass, and Rob Liefeld off in a dungeon.

No. People just generally dislike him.
There was more bashing when the rumors of him playing Daredevil surfaced.
I love how Statham says he'll never play a superhero but there's still a poll going the COMPLETE opposite way.

Give him Taskmaster in a Deadpool movie!!!! Bullseye would require acting chops....Acting chops he doesnt have, unfortunately.

Wow, a lot of haterade in this thread. Statham is a better actor than the roles he takes but he likes making action movies, partly because they're fun and of course because they pay.

That said, I could see Statham play a hero (we've already seen him play villians). Of course, it wouldn't be a traditional hero. Someone more plain clothes like in Warren Ellis or Garth Ennis book or something.
