Universal Pictures recently debuted the first footage from Jurassic World: Dominion via a dino-centric prologue, and Total Film has now shared a first-look promo image featuring one of the franchise's beleaguered human characters.
Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) has shown a knack for getting into sticky situations in the previous Jurassic World movies, and it looks like her bad luck is going to continue as she finds herself almost completely submerged in a swamp... with a dino standing right behind her.
The mag also spoke to director Colin Trevorrow, who confirmed that returning Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will make more than just brief cameo appearances.
"Laura, Sam, and Jeff have as much screentime in the film as Bryce and Chris do," he explained. "They’re not together the entire time, but we are following both of their stories equally, and you have a sense that they’re going to collide at a certain point... there’s this tension. It’s not structured necessarily in a way that we’re used to seeing our Hollywood movies structured. But it works."
Dominion will also see the return of Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, along with Jake Johnson (Lowery Cruthers), Omar Sy (Barry Sembane), Justice Smith (Franklin Webb), Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez), Isabella Sermon (Maisie Lockwood), and BD Wong (Dr. Henry Wu). Franchise newcomers include Mamoudou Athie (Sorry for Your Loss), DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Scott Haze (Venom).
Jurassic World: Dominion will roar into cinemas on June 10, 2022.
