AVATAR Finally Coming To Blu-Ray 3D

Regardless of your thoughts on Avatar, there's no denying that the 3D effects were perhaps the best ever. Well, if you now want to relive that experience, you'll no longer have to pay a ridiculous price for a copy on eBay as James Cameron has announced that it is finally coming to Blu-ray 3D.

Avatar is already available on Blu-ray, but only in 2D. Not exactly the same is it? While a 3D version was released with certain Panasonic TV's, your only chance of now nabbing a copy is to pay upwards of $100 on eBay. Thankfully, a retail version is set to be released worldwide very soon. There's currently no word on whether there will be any additional special features and the release date and price are also still under wraps, but it seems likely that it will hit sometime around Christmas. The announcement came from the official Avatar Facebook page (via IGN Movies) and you can watch it below.
