Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in “Inception,” an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse; their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

The film stars three-time Academy Award® nominee Leonardo DiCaprio (“Blood Diamond,” “The Aviator”), Academy Award® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai”), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“500 Days of Summer”), Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”), Academy Award® nominee Ellen Page (“Juno”), Tom Hardy (“RocknRolla,” “Bronson”), Cillian Murphy (“Batman Begins”), Tom Berenger (“Training Day”), Dileep Rao (“Avatar”), and two-time Oscar® winner Michael Caine (“Hannah and Her Sisters,” “The Cider House Rules”). “Inception” was written and directed by Oscar® nominee Christopher Nolan (“Memento,” “The Dark Knight”), who also produced the film with Emma Thomas. Chris Brigham and Thomas Tull served as executive producers, with Jordan Goldberg co-producing.

This is pretty crazy, I just re-watched Inception last night for the first time in a few years!!

It really is an incredible movie, even better than I remembered it to be. The acting, the action, the dialogue...heck, the entire concept of the whole thing is amazing. I needed to be reminded how Inception is absolutely in my top 10 favorite films ever.

I'm genuinely curious about what parts of the movie are garbage. I completely understand and accept that the movie isn't everyone's cup of tea. That's one thing. But calling it an overrated piece of garbage is a bit much. It throws out that annoying "hipster" vibe that inevitably crops up whenever anything becomes popular. So I'm interested in seeing any real explanations for why some think it's "garbage."

Cute. There was a rumor about a sequel to Inception. I wonder if they'd do it...

This was really good at first, but then it seems like they were just trying to wrap it up in the second half. Still good though.

Zimmer's score of the film is amongst his most epic with Batman and Thin Red Line.

I didn't like inception that much. I appreciate the acting and CGI, and think it's a great story, I just didn't get how it got such an enormous buzz about it and I didn't care for the characters that much. I'd say it's the worst Nolan film, but I still consider him to be a visionary and one of the greatest story tellers of our time.

I always felt it was an updated version of DREAMSCAPE from the 80's

@SauronsBANE1

I've come to realize that the people that didn't like it didn't get it, or it was too over they're heads.

It's a great film. Not his best, but much better than a lot of other directors could ever hope to accomplish.

One of my all time favorite movies despite it's insane exposition.
The plot was over the top complex, that's the only reason I tolerated it.
I loved the concept and how it kept me on the edge of my seat but I can see why people hated it.

Out of all the newer directors today I think Christopher Nolan has the biggest chance of becoming one of the greats. After he gets many more movies on his belt I think that if his track record stays the way it is he will be up there with Spielberg and Scorsese.
