A couple weeks ago Dan Aykroyd announced that
Ghostbusters 3 would start filming by the end of the year. And then just the other day Dan was interviewed on
Larry King Now. Of course Larry asked about Bill Murray joining the cast, but the answer is still the same. Bill has no interest, but there is always a role in the film if he changes his mind, which no one expects him to do.
As for the new info. Well, Dan says that they need four new Ghostbusters, which I know isn't new, but what is new is the specifics on where the four new Ghostbusters will come from, and why.
“We’re going to have to cast. We need four new ghostbusters. We need four new
Columbia students.”
“It’s based upon new research that’s being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University. Basically there’s research being done that…I can say that the world or our dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width, and time, become threatened by some of the research that is being done. And Ghostbusters, new Ghostbusters have to come and some the problem.”
