When Bill Murray recently called into the Howard Stern Show he was pretty honest in saying that he hadn't gotten around to reading the Ghostbusters III script yet, but that he eventually would. Today Harold Ramis concurred that they are indeed waiting for Bill.

While talking to The Hollywood Reporter about a number of different film projects, the subject of Ghostbusters III came up. In response Reitman offered, "There’s a lot of talk about Ghostbusters III. And there’s a very good script that the other cast members have read and liked. We’re just waiting for Bill Murray to read it."

C'mon Bill, what are you afraid of? Couldn't be no ghosts, could it?

Sounds to me like he really doesn't want to do another Ghost Busters movie whether it's a great script or not and is just delaying it, hoping it will go away.

I would love to see a next gen Ghost Busters team with new actors. There are so many choices of actors to do it with.

I see bills point. As its been said he's pretty much the only one who doesnt need the paycheck, and sees the film as a cheap cash grab without any merit. To be honest I love both of the first movies, but I just don't see how this could be any good outside of the nostalgia factor.

LOL This happened with the other Ghostbusters films as well he would wait till the last minute to read the script and even then wouldn't read the whole thing, Its just Bill Being Bill so no need for everyone to be mad at him.

You are right about Bill being a douche (from time to time), but that douche is a Ghostbuster I want to see in the next film.

I hope they do not make it. The video game was cool, but I just have an impending sense of Ghostbusters 2 all over again.

Some things should be left alone.
