Bizarre Concept Art From The Scrapped JURASSIC PARK IV

A fourth Jurassic Park is said to be in the works, but the following human/dinosaur hybrid concept designs are from the version that was planned with the John Sayles script from a few years back that never saw the light of day. Probably not hard to see why..

These concept designs from artist Carlos Huante are from the John Sayles scripted version of Jurassic Park IV that we will never see. That story featured these genetically engineered human-dinosaur-dog hybrids (di-hu-ogs) that were also super smart gun-toting mercenaries. Now don't get me wrong, I actually think some of the designs are pretty cool, and the idea sounds like it could make for a good movie, but a Jurassic Park movie? Nobody seems too sure how far into production the movie actually got, but according to Huante as soon as the Amblin Entertainment brass saw these designs, they shut down the project almost immediately..

As I said, there is currently another Jurassic Park IV script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver out there (probably not featuring gun-toting T-Rexs) but no solid info on when or if it will go into production.
