Don't Call JURASSIC WORLD A "Reboot," Says Director

Revealing the (accurate) period of time that will have passed in Jurassic World since the events of the first Jurassic Park movie, director Colin Trevorrow debunks speculation that it's a reboot!

Before Universal Pictures announced Jurassic World with its summer 2015 release date, the actor who played Dr. Allen Grant in Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, Sam Neill, had suggested that the fourth film would be a big reboot, or "a total re-jig" of the dino franchise. Well, that's not the case according to director Colin Trevorrow, who has taken to his Twitter account to set the speculation straight. "Reboot is a strong word," he noted in response to another tweet. "This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park," Trevorrow added. 22 years will be an accurate timespan in 2015 as the original Jurassic Park movie was released in 1993.

With that said, we can safely add Jurassic World to the overloaded list of anticipated sequels of 2015. Anyhow, possibly starring Chris Pratt as "a rugged ex-military man," and Bryce Dallas Howard as a "smart corporate scientist," with young actors Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson playing her nephews, Jurassic World is produced by Steven Spielberg, and is set for release on June 12, 2015!
