When it was announced they were doing a 4th Jurassic Park, I thought it would suck. First is no doubt a classic and one of the best films of all time and all the sequels sucked so why should this be any different?

Now this film actually looks great. Hope it's good.

Okay, whoever's in charge of the ads on CBM needs to do something about the Target.com pop-ups. They make browsing the site impossible on mobile devices.

It looks like they saved the best trailer for last.

Still not doing it for me. Tbh, I was never that into the original film but I respect it for what it is. Nothing about this one seems compelling to me. The story and characters don't seem interesting, effects don't provide a wow factor, and the potential for action seems to amount to a lot of running from dinosaurs and shooting at dinosaurs. I've heard that the early reception is good, so I hope it satisfies people who are excited for it, but I'm not feeling enough of a pull to see it in theaters.

Belated sequels to popular movies usually suck, but I genuinely think this one might be different. They seem to be putting some real effort into making this good; I'm quite hopeful.

@santoanderson Not just the target ads, but the fact that on my iPhone 6+, I can't zoom out. It's stuck on magnify. Whatever this site has been experimenting with in the last 2-3 weeks, it's really hurting the experience. Please don't underestimate the visitor's frustration. This is a scoop "hub", not a generator, and I'd hate for others to consider deleting this site as a bookmark, as I have considered.

And suddenly I can zoom out, don't I look like an asshole. I can't explain why I couldn't zoom out on CBM.

The dinosaurs talk to each other. Inter-species communication.

Yeah. F*ck this movie.

Mine is zooming in too. Thankfully I haven't gotten a Target pop-up for about an hour, but all day, whenever I'd come to the site, I'd get an alert telling me to give Target.com my location. I hit 'OK' and 'Cancel' a number of times -- didn't do shit. Just had to reload the page and hit X before the pop-up loaded. Really frustrating.

I'm debating with myself whether or not I want to watch this trailer. Does it give away a lot of money shots? Or any more of the plot that hasn't been shown already?

I'm seeing the movie either way, so maybe I'll hold off on watching this...

Definitely do whatever will help you enjoy the movie more.

However...I honestly didn't see very much new footage at all. It's all stuff that's been in the previous tv spots and trailers for the past few months. :)

@KingPatel @CinemaHero Thanks guys! I think the only trailer I've actually seen for this movie was the first one, so I figure I might as well go in to the movie as fresh as possible. Can't hurt!

You mean the shot of Bryce opening up a door and then running away?
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 6/7/2015, 9:21 AM
@KingPatel Haha I've always felt bad for you guys who've had to extensively cover all these movies (including all the trailers, TV spots, set pics, AND rumors) and pretty much get it all spoiled before you even step into the theater! That's cool though, at least Universal has some idea of how to get that right balance of promoting and marketing a movie without giving the entire thing away beforehand.

The first Jurassic Park was the sole reason I got into movies in the first place, and so I've been on the fence about Jurassic World for a while...but dammit, there's just no resisting dinosaurs eating people on the big screen haha. I seriously hope this movie delivers.

I was never a big fan of these movies (I did like the first), but I can't wait for this one. I still haven't seen a 3D movie, I've been waiting for a good movie that would also be better to watch in 3D. I think this would be it, no?

@riseofloganX36,

Idk why you're getting so defensive considering I didn't attack the film or its fans. I explained why it doesn't appeal to me but said I respected the original film and hope fans enjoy the new one. Not being a fan doesn't invalidate my perspective. I have fun at films that are my kind of fun and that might not line up with what you like.
