Woah. Big time casualties for our Losties in this ep. The flash sideways deal with Locke recovering from his hit and run by Desmond only to have Jack attempt to fix him..fully! Jack thinks Locke is a "candidate" for a new procedure which could give him back the use of his legs. I bet like me you thought that the title referred to finding out who will take over from Jacob back in the island verse? Well, we might have an inkling into that too thanks to Sayid's final words...

Instead of staying behind to die with his wife, you would think Jin would have tried to survive so his daughter would have at least one parent.

Great review as always ROR! I'll admit to having more than a tear in my eye during Sun and Jin's final scenes..! :P

Did you hear about the final episode? Apparently it's now been extended from 90mins up to 2 and a half hours!!!

I really didn't care that Sayid died (I'm sorry but I hated his character this season), I was REALLY hoping Kate would die (I've hated her character for the past 5 seasons), but I did not want Jin and Sun to die...and if it wasn't bad enough, the final shot of their hands sliding apart just tore you up.

yeah i wasn't a fan of sayid dying at all.
@kenny...good point but i guess it had to be romanticized.

Lets face, sh%t went down this week! It was crazy and sad, but atthe same time a great ep. Even the sideways interaction w/ Jack and Locke was cool. I was a little teary and my wife as well was balling.

So after I watched it I went over to the Lost forums on the main sight and those guys, WOW. They had some bizarre theories flying around, like Frank Lepedous scooping up Sayid bits and bringing him back to life..I'm serious. One good point they had is that we didn't see Frank die and Jin wasn't stuck, so maybe he did get him out.

I still think Jacob's a good guy, or at least a guy w/ a good idea. He had it right: he had to let them do good on their own. I think at the end it's going to be Jack taking over his job. This is just b/c I could see Jack chilling out on the island for the rest of time having discussions w/ MIB just because he looks like Locke. Those two always had the most interesting relationship throughout the course of the show and that would be a good ending.

Yeah i see jack staying on the island...he already has that mentality. I'm still not sold on Jacob though. The smoke monster isn't hiding anything..what you see is what you get but with Jacob...someone/thing so secretive and coded always has something to hide.

In the end it'll be Jack and John Lock sitting on the island playing Backgammon.

Not sure what Desmond is doing though, he seems to be doing what Jacob was doing which is weird because it seems like Jake is the one thats supposed to replace Jacob.

Is desmond still in the well and were is Ben Lynus?

Will they explain why Syuid went to the dark side for awhile?

Wow I haven't watched anything passed Season 2 because it got really dumb to me but that scene with Sun and Jin was really sad. I actually was heartbroken by it. =(

yup! was a great episode.. I am happy the show is ending, I don't have to wait anymore... just another show I don't have to be addicted to anymore. Actually one that I really didn't want to get into until a friend convinced me and then I got hooked. I have to finish what I start.... :p

I was surprised Sayid actually did something to save them.

well waiting to see Desmond do something crazy, most likely he'll end up saving Jack and Jack will become the new jacob.
