We're now less than a month away from the release of Lana Wachowski's The Matrix Resurrections, which means a second trailer should be coming our way very soon. Warner Bros. has debuted a series of new theatrical and character posters over the past week or so to keep the hype going, and we now (finally) have a look at some new footage courtesy of an international TV spot.

It's not much, but there are a few exciting new shots of Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) in action, as well as some new dialogue from "Thomas" as he tells Morpheus (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) that he's "done fighting."

Check out the spot in the player below, and keep an eye out for that new trailer.

“The Matrix Resurrections is a continuation of the story established in the first Matrix film… 20 years after the first film, the franchise that helped define pop culture at the turn of the century is back for a continuation and extension of the original movie. A mind-bending new adventure with action and epic scale, it’s set in a familiar yet even more provocative world where reality is more subjective than ever and all that’s required to see the truth is to free your mind"

Other franchise returnees include Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe, Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian, and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson. Also joining the cast will be Andrew Caldwell, Priyanka Chopra, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen Hollman, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Christina Ricci, Max Riemelt, and Brian J. Smith.

The Matrix Resurrections will be released in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously on December 22.

🤔
Not sure what gif is better to respond to NEOS “I’m done fighting.”

“Nothing stops…” by the Warden in Shawshank
or
“Nothing is Over! NOTHING!” by Rambo.

Tough decision.

I doubt many will agree with me on this, but I am looking forward to this more than I am looking forward to another Spider-Man movie. I’ve always been a sci-fi nerd deep down.
