New Footage In International ROBOCOP TV Spot

It's not much, but there's new snippets of footage in this first tv spot for the upcoming remake of the classic sci-fi flick. He still says "dead or alive YOU coming with me" though unfortunately. I guess this version of Robocop is a [frick]witt.

I'm pretty sure he says "You're coming with me". I just think it's his Robocop voice.

I have a sneaking suspicion this will be like Dredd, a surprisingly good movie with underlying themes that does poor at the box office.

WOW! The display professionalism, by one of the few writers on this site that I respect very much, in the blurb for this article fascinates me. Ror, what happened?

Man, doesnt seem to have the 'Robocop walk' :(. That shit was awesome I remember watching some BTS stuff for the original and the costume sounded like plastic trays(clack clack clack) then they dubbed the walk (thud thud thud) and the little motor sounds...brilliant.

Why are some people complaining about his suit and walk? It's an updated suit, so of course it should look sleeker like it does. This Robocop does not and should not walk like the original Robocop. This is new and improved technology. The 1st Robocop is the Playstation 1. This new Robocop is the Playstation 4. Just relax and enjoy the movie. :)

Compared to the original Robocop's oversized frame in bling-bling chrome and lipstick lips, this version is a vast improvement. Just hope he doesn't mimic the silly disco-robot walk from the original because that was the only thing about the original that irritated the hell out of me.

@Emjeed - Don't be surprised, this isn't a professional site, it's a fansite run by fanboys and fanboys are notorious for their huge dislike for anything they've grown up with being remade. They have some latent fear that any remake will somehow alter their memory of the past and their treasured sacred childhood moments they've placed on very high pedestals unlike the average joe who's pretty much matured with age and learned to approach every thing new or remade with a fresh perspective absent of fear of a childhood memory rape.

Professional reviewers and editors simply report the facts and perspectives based on an educated opinion. Fansites like this are basically gonna always be using those positions for presenting an outburst based on an emotional response to what they have to report. Arbitration does not come into the necessity of the job and I guess that's why we come here, just to see how extreme the retorts can get from the flame wars they spearhead.

It will be interesting to see if Josh's preconceptions on this movie changes if it turns out to be as good a remake as it looks or if he does what most fanboys do and play the "denial" card by clutching onto their security blanket childhood memories in some misguided show of loyalty to the original like some unwritten schoolyard law. Love it when fanboys stick to their guns despite the obvious!

@jimoakley666, both are great movies, i recommend. Padilha is a talented director, i think we'll have a fine storytelling in this...

Lol

I'm not complaining about his walk it's just that it's an element I liked from the original. Obviously this is updated tech and will be much more 'organic'. I can still enjoy the movie while wishing they'd done something different.

Throwbacks are nice, hell if the original was so cheesy why bother revisiting the concept? The director himself spoke highly of what the original achieved before the last trailer anyways.

Thats not the problem with the suit... yes its sleeker n yes hes supposed to move faster. .. but it looks rubber and he doesnt look as cybernetic in it.

They could of put more silver in there and youknow it.. not like an all black suit hasnt been done before in a movie -_-

I like the new look and will go see this movie. The original came on to day on Encore and this costume is a vast improvement to the original which had Bitch Hips.
