@ComicsBornAndBred - Fun is Ror's trigger word.

@ComicsBornAndBred - War films shouldn't be fun. But this is a war film set in space with magical wizards and laser swords. So that stuff goes out the window.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Anything that's fun is automatically childish and sucky to some around here

@MattBellissimo - Ha... it depends on the context:) I love fun, I just don't think a movie HAS to be fun to be enjoyable. Rogue One is all of the things the spot says though, and also... not so much fun at times!

@SexyDrDoom - A movie can be all kinds of things imo. It can cover a number of aspects. Star Wars lends itself to being fun because its a sprawling space opera that usually incorporates some hokey religions, a ragtag group and surprisingly charismatic droids. Its like a grand space western and westerns are fun.

I'm excited for this one. I'm hearing a lot of good things from critics I trust. I got my tickets set for Friday.

[frick] 3D. 3D is for losers.

Only thing I'm hearing that kind of bums me out is that anyone who isn't Jyn, gets little to no character development.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Not true. The only ones that aren't really as developed as they could be are Baze and Chirrut.. and they're still awesome, it just would have been nice to have a few more scenes with them to learn about their friendship etc.

@RorMachine - I trust your opinion so that make same feel better. A few critics who I actually like and whose word I trust, said the supporting rebels weren't as fleshed out as they'd hope they'd be.

I'm a big Donnie Yen fan too so.

@ComicsBornAndBred - I mean I guess I can see where they're coming from... but what blockbuster type movie COULDN'T use a bit more character development? At the end of the day it is an action movie and a lot of the running time is dedicated to that. I think the characters are developed enough, but not everyone might.

Does any other country have the same issue that we have in the UK with something called the 'blockbuster tax'?

The company Odeon charges more to watch big film releases. As an example I went to watch Doctor Strange in 3D Imax for £10 (something like $13.50) but to watch Rogue One it will cose £16 ($20).

I refuse to be a part of such a scam so I will wait to watch this a few weeks out of principle, but thought I'd see if this is like this elsewhere?
