John Boyega Has No Interest In Reprising His STAR WARS Role On The Disney+ Streaming Service

In less than two weeks fans will witness the end of the third trilogy of films in the Star Wars universe: The Rise of Skywalker.

While some of the characters in this film - particularly Finn, Poe, and Rey - might wind up surviving past the credit roll, is there any chance of fans seeing these characters pop back up in other projects down the line, either on the big screen or the Disney+ streaming service?

If the comments from Finn actor John Boyega are to believed - that doesn't look like it will be happening. He seems to be very opposed to the idea of starring on the small screen, despite the perceived success of Baby-Yoda starring breakout series The Mandalorian.

"You ain’t going to Disney Plus me! I ain’t getting no Disney Plus! I’m watching it, though, but I’ll stay in the feature films.”

The actor added that he would only return to the films if the other two parts of his trifects - Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac. Comments by them, however, makes it seem as if that won't be happening anytime soon. Isaac even went so far as to say that it felt like he was closing a chapter of his life - which sounds pretty final.

“[I’m] happy and feeling fulfilled that the task is complete. So I can’t imagine what it would be that would make me want to redo this thing or revisit it.”

Ridley herself didn't seem as though she was against the idea so much as she was happier with the ending they chose for Episode IX.

“I just don’t know if anything could top this one, honestly. I think it’s just a great story and a great close, and even though obviously the characters continue to exist, it would have to be so extraordinary [to return], and I don’t know if that’s possible.”

What do you guys think of the trio's comments? Let us know below!

The saga will end, the story lives forever.

It is so weird hearing so many up and comers have this stigma against streaming and tv shows, despite that many super successful actors have transitioned to tv and that many blowing up stars came from tv and streaming

Mandalorian being extremely awesome while (so far) having almost nothing to do with the main SW films should be evidence enough that the D+ SW content should be used to explore the unexplored, rather than supplementing current franchises (unlike the MCU shows which are apparently integral to the main story).

The possible exception is Obi Wan, but that largely exists (understandably) due to demand, rather than a strategic piece of world/character building

I like how this guy acts like he’s a big deal saying he’ll never do a show. Or wouldn’t return to the role. It’s not like he’s some Oscar winning phenomenal actor... f that guy

Reprising his role? Not much of a role to reprise.

I had so much hope/hype for Finn before The Force Awakens opened but then they just turned his character into a clumsy janitor...
