Ron Howard Has Reportedly Reshot Almost All Of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY
Disney and Lucasfilm chose Ron Howard as the new director of Solo: A Star Wars Story after becoming dissatisfied with Phil Lord and Chris Miller and it seems we'll see little to none of their work...
Like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, things have not been running smoothly behind the scenes of Solo. Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired after Disney and Lucasfilm became dissatisfied with their improvisational style and it took no time at all for Kathleen Kennedy to hire friend Ron Howard.
While we know he's shot at least half of the movie and taken charge of pretty extensive reshoots, it's never been revealed quite how much work he's done on the movie. Well, in the video below, it's said that Howard has reshot "nearly all" of the spinoff which has led to the budget almost doubling. That means we can probably forget about seeing any of Lord and Miller's work in the final cut next year.
This was probably to be expected (he's even recast major roles) and it's interesting that Lord and Miller's Han Solo has now become Ron Howard's, something we never even considered could happen. Are you disappointed about these big changes or was it arguably the right move on Lucasfilm's part?
