We have no idea when our first official look at Zachary Levi as Shazam will be released but it's probably not too far away now. However, thanks to director David F. Sandberg, we may have a better idea of what the DC Comics hero is going to look like on the big screen. During a recent Q&A, the filmmaker was asked what inspired the suit and it sounds like an animated movie has played a big role in that.
"The suit has some similarities to his look in Justice League: War," Sandberg revealed, referencing the Warner Bros. Animation release which served as a reboot of sorts for DC's direct-to-DVD offerings. "Once pics have been released I can tell you more about where the inspirations came from and why certain choices were made." So, which elements from that will wind up making it into the movie?
The hood and cloak are two very likely possibilities, while the large logo on the chest would also probably look pretty cool in live-action. The character's appearance has remained pretty consistent over the years, though, so Shazam is unlikely to shake things up too much! What do you guys think?
