Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be the first DC Comics movie out of the gate in 2023, and a Japanese promo video featuring star Zachary Levi wishing fans a happy new year has now been shared online.
The actor appears in full costume as the Big Red Cheese, and the video also includes some footage from the movie - although most of the shots seem to be from the first trailer.
Recently, Levi responded to the rumor that he, along with pretty much every other pre-DCU actor, would be parting ways with their respective roles as James Gunn and Peter Safran map-out their 10-year plan for the Warner Bros. Discovery franchise. Despite seeming confident that he'd be sticking around as the hero, he'd later admit that he wasn't actually sure what the future will hold.
We find it hard to believe that Gunn and Safran would pick and choose who stays and who goes, so we'd place our bets on a full reboot - which means Fury of the Gods will likely be the last we see of Levi as Shazam.
From New Line Cinema comes Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Joining the cast are Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), with Lucy Liu (Kung Fu Panda franchise) and Helen Mirren (F9: The Fast Saga).
