Tom Holland Explains Exactly What Sort Of Bully Flash Thompson Is In SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

We've all been wondering for a long time now why such a, well, unimposing actor has been cast as formidable bully Flash Thompson. Well, Tom Holland explains that and Michael Keaton's on-set hijinks right here.

Tony Revolori is a great actor, but he's not exactly very intimidating. For that reason, it's been hard to imagine how exactly he'll bully Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Well, it appears as if the upcoming reboot will take things in a very different direction as the British actor has revealed in a new interview with Short List Magazine that he'll pick on Puny Parker verbally instead.

"American high schools are so different to British ones," Holland said in regards to the time he spent undercover in a US high school to prepare. "Bullying wasn't really a thing, so when they cast Flash Thompson they knew they didn't need a 6ft 5in jock to beat Peter Parker up. They needed a rich, smug kid commenting on how bad his trainers were. And I did it to practice my American accent."

As for what it was like to work with Michael Keaton (who plays The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming), the actor recalled a funny story about the one-time Batman dropping in some Dark Knight themed jokes on set. "Pretty cool. He's a badass. We have a fight in the movie and I punch him. He turns around and says [in a deep voice], 'I'm Batman.' He kept doing Batman quotes on set."

Finally, talk turned to how his Spider-Man compares to those played by Tobey Maguire and Andre Garfield, and Holland had this to say about who he believes would win if all three were to meet (and fight). "Me. Absolutely. Hands down." Shots fired! What do you guys think of the actor's comments?
