In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, and Chris Zylka, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released in the UK on 18th April and in the US on May 2nd.

How many trailers does this make? 500?
This movie must be seriously BAD if they keep trying to release constant new things.
Do we have to be worried about this or not?
Seriously, how many reveals can be left for this movie? It feels like we have already seen the movie!!
Bad marketing

I'd laugh if they troll us by having Gwen end up in a hospital by the end but not kill here. XD

I think they released everything too quickly.
We get it on the 17th of this month here in aus. And not till the 2nd in the US. They've done well marketing this film but they've peaked too soon.

far too much footage being shown,x-men days of future past took too long to release a second trailer but with this movie it seems we get a new trailer or tv spot every other day.

JUST GIVE ME A SECOND TRAILER FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY & I WILL BE HAPPY.

I've seen so much of the movie that I don't feel justified in paying full price to see it anymore considering so much of the film is available online. I mean - still have 9-10 days till release and they haven't even started having the "In cinemas now" tv spots yet...

Sure I'll probably end up watching it - but I hope they are saving some epic stuff for the film cause I've seen so many spots that I can fill in the blanks at the moment and their isn't much left for us to actually be surprised about.

I heard from initial test audiences that the movie isn't very good, has anyone else heard this too?

Why not release an hour trailer of the film and then call it the final trailer? No need to be rude it's just over saturation of TASM 2's trailer's and tv spot's and i can not refuse watching them because it's basically tempting a dog with a piece of steak. The dog will just keep on coming.

We've seen less footage from this movie than we saw for Cap2. And Gwen won't be dying in this movie. It all looks incredible.

The few people that have seen it on this site absolutely loved it. @MrSotoMan, who hated TASM1, has been singing it's praises for weeks.

@MercwithMouth

We've had;
5 Clips - each 1 minute of new footage
6 Featurettes - each around 2-3 minutes in length averaging about 1 minute of new footage each
20 trailers (Including alternates) - each having around 20 seconds of new footage each time
10 TV spots (Including alternates/extended) averaging about 5 seconds of new footage each time

So...

Clips; 5 minutes
Featurettes; 6 minutes
Trailers; 6 minutes 40 seconds
TV Spots; 50 seconds

From currently released alone - new footage is approximately 18 minutes and 30 seconds.

Runtime of TASM2; 142 minutes
Credits time; 7 minutes
Footage seen; 18 Minutes 30 seconds
Total film unseen; 116 Minutes and 30 seconds

Could anyone who is dumb enough enough to complain about watching footage that they choose to watch just shut up and get off this site. Seriously if you want to absolutely surprised just watch the trailer in a movie theatre while seeing a movie in the next month or so, that simple. Marketing is about over-saturation, plain and simple. The majority of all the people worldwide who will see this movie do not visit sites like these nor do they intentionally seek out footage and or spoilers for the movie. If you walk down a street and ask the average person here in the United States if they feel "The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is being over marketed/promoted" they would look at you with bewilderment. Godzilla is currently ramping up there marketing, X-MEN is in panic mode because regardless of what any morons say this is how you properly promote anything, especially in the modern digital age we all live in now. Do any of you think The Dark Knight was marketed any differently? Well news idiots it wasn't, that film was as promoted of any film ever! And you know why? because movie studios want to make as much money as possible. Captain America TWS is making good money and if it has any hopes of teaching a billion this year or anything close to that figure then Disney/Marvel needs to keep constantly promoting the movie. I know I'm basically posting an angry rant, but if in a few months a "rough cut" of Avengers: AOU leaked most of you would watch it, of if their was 20 different trailers by September most of you would watch all of them. Stop f*****g complaining about a movie or any movie YOU don't have to watch trailers for or even go to the movies and see. HAVE SOME F*****G SELF CONTROL ANS SHUT UP!!!

If I was put in charge of marketing I would've did it this way... Release that trailer from December, release like five tv spots with like three seconds of new footage in each, then release that final trailer...that would've been enough......oh yeah I would've also released the rhino stealing truck clip and the Times Square sniper clip....that's it....honestly sony over-marketed this movie.

@ MercwithMouth

we've only had three trailers for the winter soldier & half a dozen tv spots,most of the clips that were released for the winter soldier came after the film was released internationally.

there has definitely been more footage released for the amazing spider-man 2.
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 4/7/2014, 6:23 AM
I'm not gonna argue about the footage. All I will say, is that the GA has likely seen less than half the footage as we have, because they don't scour the web for it. And if you choose to watch the footage, it means you're interested enough to look. That means the marketing is working. So quit [frick]ing whining about it.

@DoubleD

I know Gwen will die eventually, but I think it would be rushed if it happens in TASM2. I think it will happen early in TASM3. The emotional impact will be stronger if it happens early, and Peter can deal with the fallout for longer.

And they have not contacted Woodley to return as MJ, she did an interview last week saying she hadn't heard anything, and she was unsure if she wants to return. As she is apparently busy with the Divergent franchise.

I could care less how much footage a movie releases. It's a choice to spoil yourself.

I apologize in advance, but if you think you've seen a whole movie because of 9 minutes of released footage that's been recut over and over again, you are a fool.

The person commenting that before you has no idea what they are talking about either, so your comment is not justified.
Over 200 minutes of footage means that even if you've seen 10 minutes, you've only witnessed 6% of the film.

6%, and you've seen the whole thing?
Just stop.

Why is harry dieing ??? maybe they are trolling us like they paste the '' I am dieing '' on a place where it doesn't not belong. maybe harry tells peter: I remember when my father said, I am dieing Harry. and they cut it out and paste it there, same as peter saying '' why'' in the trailers before this one.

Anyone else think it might be brilliant if they went the ultimate route and covered Gwen Stacy in symbiote?
Emma Stone could pull off a villain.

Unless Sony is holding a gun to you forcing you to watch everything they put out, those of you complaining about seeing too much footage are a bunch of idiots. The GA has probably only seen a third of all this TASM2 content too cause they probably don't spend their free time looking up every new spot, commercial, etc for a cbm.
