In his first interview about his role as 'Norman Osborn' in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chris Cooper has confirmed earlier reports that the sequel will serve as a way of introducing the character before he takes on a much larger role in the third instalment which is pencilled in for 2016. "Well, this is an introduction to Norman Osborn and apparently this leads to better things in Spider-Man 3. I think it's fair to say he's on his last legs...I don't know if I can say anything more!" So, it definitely sounds as if we'll see Cooper suiting up in the third movie rather than this one. However, with rumours that it will be Harry who first takes the Green Goblin mantle, we'll just have to wait and see...what do you guys think? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts below!

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Sally Fields as Aunt May

RELEASE DATE: May 2nd, 2014.
