CookieKid's Picks for the MCU Spiderman

CookieKid's Picks for the MCU Spiderman

Instead of making a full fancast, I just thought I'd name off my picks for who I want as the next Spidey and why.

1. Freddie Highmore
It was suggested and I really liked the idea because Freddie is a talented actor and has the real innocence factor going for him which could really make a entertaining and true to the comics Spiderman. He is definitely my Number One pick for Spiderman.

2. Jake T. Austin
Ignore the GIF because Jake T. Austin is around 20 years old now and has really impressed me comedically since his days on Disney channel. Dramatically I've heard he's been really good on his TV show The Fosters. With some good direction I really could see Jake T. Austin being our next Spiderman.

3. Dev Patel
I find Dev hilarious and with Chappie coming up I think he's about to get even more shine as an actor. He can obviously play the shy, awkward type pretty well and has shown that his comedic timing is really amazing.

4. Tyler James Williams
This is really if Marvel decides to do a race-swap (which seems to be popular these days) or if they jump straight to Miles Morales. Either way if there's a black Spidey I want TJW to do it (Donald Glover is too old now people). He's a proven comedic actor and has shown some dramatic work on shows like The Walking Dead.

Well those are my choices. No matter how much you hated ASM2 or wished Marvel would get the rights back I stand by my opinion nothing can get worse than this...

But that's just my opinion bros. See you

I like the choices man.

I was thinking Alfie Enoch or Tyler Posey.

Not a fan of ethnicity changes and I say that as someone who's ethnic heritage is from Pakistan. Out of these choices I guess I would go for Freddie Highmore, he seems to be a popular choice but I have not seen him in anything.

Chaging Spiderman's race doesn't really make sense to me, since there is both black and white incarnation of the character in comics, both loved by fans. Making Peter black or Miles white would be nothing more but trolling the fans. What possibly could be benefit from such changes.

That above is just FYI IMO, not meant to be criticism or attack towards anyone.

DEV PATEL?????

The guy's British, born & raised, but...okay!
Is there even such a thing as Spider-man Inc. with all those tie-in heroes?

Heck, there's even an indian version, you can cast Dev Patel as Paviitr Prabhakar

I really feel like instead of casting who you think would be a good Spider-Man you set out to cast multiple Spider-Man's of different ethnicities. I like them all for the roles, but this feels like forced race swapping vs it just happening.

Cast Williams or Austin as Miles
Highmore as Peter
and Patel as Paviitr Prabhakar.

I don't care about race switching, but this is obviously trying to hard to be diverse.

Also does no one realize that Miles Morales started off as a 13 year old? TJW is too old let alone Donald Glover. Besides, Alfre Enoch would be better for young adult Miles anyway.

Teenage Spider-Man:
1. Zachary Gordon
2. Asa Butterfield
3. Chandler Riggs

Young Adult Spider-Man:
1. Taron Egerton
2. Logan Lerman
3. Dylan O'Brien

Adult Spider-Man:
1. Donald Glover

I don't wanna see a Spider-Man that old so I only have one casting.
