Disney CEO Bob Iger Jokes That ONWARD Star Tom Holland Owes Him A Beer After He Saved SPIDER-MAN

It's no secret that Tom Holland reached out to Disney CEO Bob Iger when it looked like Spider-Man was leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it appears he now wants what he's owed for "saving" Spidey!

Disney CEO Bob Iger was recently on hand for the World Premiere of Onward, a new Pixar movie starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, and, as you can see below, Iger has declared that the latter, "owes me a 'pint' for saving Spider-Man."

While this is more than likely just a tongue in cheek remark from Iger, the words he's used are definitely interesting. Like most comic book fans, it appears as if the Disney boss realises that keeping Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is what's best for the web-slinger.

We also know from previous reports that Holland reached out directly to Iger about Spidey's fate, and that the Disney CEO was then instrumental in ensuring his studio and Sony worked things out.

Now, the plan is for the hero to return in the currently untitled Spider-Man 3 and at least one more Marvel Studios movie. Beyond that, his future remains uncertain, but Sony bosses hope to keep the deal going. That's going to depend on a number of factors, but is hopefully something that becomes a reality in order to ensure that Kevin Feige remains in control of the web-slinger's adventures.
