Hello Everyone,

Major comic book assemble films are becoming popular today with the growing success of The Avengers. Even X-Men has it's own major film coming out next with Days of Future Past. As I was thinking what about the character of Spider-Man and what would be in store for him. They already ended the Sam Eaimi films with Spider-Man 3 and started over with The Amazing Spider-Man, but could this be just the beginning. One thing Marvel is known for is the concept of time and alternate universes/dimensions within the same realm. Also as seen in games such as Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. One major idea I was proposing is, what if both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man and the Marc Webb Spider-Man crossed over in an epic movie event. The subject of Spider-Man in the films deals a lot with the probability of science and how science can greatly change the world. What if The Sinister Six was to form in The Amazing Spider-Man universe and he needs more help to defeat them as he doesn't stand a chance alone. What if a larger than life villain was at the verge of collapsing both universes and ending the world as we know it. This would be a great concept to work with in live action, to see two Spider-Men on the screen teaming up with each other. Knowing their own differences and their unique weaknesses as they learn. Sharing witty and comedic humor. Like I have said if they are using a similar ploy for X-Men Days of Future Past then an alternate universe storyline within the Spider-Man universe isn't too far off. There was also a huge mention down the line it may not just be a Spider-Man film anymore. Also a chance of history being rewritten, the events of Spider-Man 3 could have never happened and the mistakes made in The Amazing Spider-Man could be fixed. This is a major opportunity the studios need to realize they have a never ending franchise on their hands full of potential. Thank you for reading and I hope you further more consider this idea as a stepping stone.

I've mentioned this idea in the past as well. It's the only logical way for Sony to compete against the MCU, DCCU, and X-Men. It's one of those things that could be awesome, or could also be worse than Origins. It's a possibility. Not a likely one, but it could work if done right.

Also, is it just me, or are Jacky's articles becoming more normal?

Jacky, I know you're usually crazy, but I think you're onto something here. I doubt something like this would ever happen, but if done right, it could be incredible.

I agree with this Jacky. I've been saying this for months. Sony should do Shattered Dimensions type film. Bring back Raimi's Spider-Man, Marc's, the 2099, and the Noir.

Yeah I think this is a great idea. If done right, it can be awesome. If done wrong, it could be terrible. I think:

2002: Spider-Man
2004: Spider-Man 2
2007: Spider-Man 3
2012: The Amazing Spider-Man
2014: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
2016: The Amazing Spider-Man 3
2018: The Amazing Spider-Man 4
2020: Spider-Man 2099
2023: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
2026: Spider-Man: Edge of Time
2028: Spider-Man Noir

95% sure it won't happen. But a man can dream.........

Jacky

Sorta like the last 2 episodes of the 90's Spider-Man cartoon. Alternate Spideys coming together for one grand purpose. Could be cool.

In fact, maybe they could adapt the Coming Home story arc. Have Morlum beat the snot out of TASM's Spidey, then replace Ezekiel with a dimension hopping Raimi Spider-Man.

Don't be stupid. Have you read Reign? The Dark Knight Returns Spidey version. 60 year old Spidey.

Abary - 8/18/2013, 4:37 PM
VIRILEMAN, yeah you're right. A 40-year old Spider-Man would be terrible. Leave the 40-year old superhero-thing to Batman. *Facepalm

Which is why Coming Home would be the best option. Replacing Ezekiel with an older Spidey who has used some device from Curt Connors, Oscorp or his own invention to dimension hop.

Garfield is like 30 something, so a 40 year old Spidey wouldn't be too far off.

i think this is a bad idea..the raimi trilogy was its own thing..i think the bigger universe of spiderman wont need anyone else..with venom alone there could be a bigger universe and if u throw in the fantastic four it would be even bigger..no need for the shattered dimensions kinda thing..just make the spiderman universe bigger with the sinister six and venom's world with carnage then they have the FF to make it even bigger...maybe with a secret wars kinda thing..but thats doubtful

A crossover with different Spider-Man's would be cool, but not to fix things. I don't know why some people feel the need to fix things in a movie. Just leave it as is and do it. No movie is perfect!!! There is always gonna be things which some like and some don't. There are alot worse movies than spidey 3 and amazing. I for one, enjoyed both. Amazing more so! Although I don't think there will ever be a crossover between Garfield's spidey and Toby's spidey, I do think there is a chance for miles to be introduced down the line. I actually believe he will be introduced in 3 or 4 of amazing. He might help Pete with the sinister 6 if they go that route and assume the mantle of spidey after Garfield. That's me just hoping!

this has got to be the dumbest idea I ever heard in my life!! Please tell me someone is high as a kite while they wrote this cause its the only reason one would. to think for even a second after the POS spider-man 3 and they fact that we now have a new spider-man, there is ZERO CHANCE IN HELL Raimi would do another spidey but even less of a chance Tobey would suit up again or even be asked to. Why not ask Adam West to suit up form Superman vs Batman while youre at it.

I loved shattered dimensions, and think most of us are in agreement here. However, they should bring in Madam Webb and at least Sandman or introduce a villain like Mysterio from raimis universe. I think that would make for a better connection.

It'll have to be a Shattered Dimension movie. It'll be awesome to see two Spider-Man actors working together to save their worlds and see what happen Raimi's Spider-Man after SM3.

If they treat the Rami Spider-man and the Webb Spider-man like two different universe in the same Multiverse then yea I would love to see a crossover.

Any movie that has to be made to make the events of another movie not happen is stupid! [frick] xmen days of future past and this article for even suggesting spider man do the same. Suggestions like these are absolutely retarded!

Introducing madam webb and spider men from alternate timelines, i love that idea! Making a movie to change events of a previous movie is a waste of everyones time.

Most of you may hate this but I think the best way to expend the spidey universe is to do the clone saga
MightyZeus
MightyZeus - 8/18/2013, 8:24 PM
Sam Raimi's universe could somewhere along the line turn into 2099. Or it could dare i say turn into the clone saga.

Or if Peter and Mj have a child it could turn out to be 'Spidergirl'.

If they don't change the events and make a badass team up movie, I'm down. Like people have suggested, do a Shattered Dimensions styled sequel. Add Ultimate Miles, 2099, and Noir and team them against a combined universe Sinister Six. Would be crazy, but might work.

This would be bad. But I think it would be cool to see spiderman 2099, miles morales or a variation of the scarlet spider if they were done correctly. Maybe they could have miles take over for tobeys spiderman after a heroic death and then do something like this article said. But either way this is probably something Sony would never consider.
