Emma Stone, who will play Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker is Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, speaks about her experiences of being part of such a big special effects driven movie for the first time to Digital Spy..

"Just because the scale is so large, doing Spider-Man is more daunting than I realized in the beginning," Stone said. "I've tried not to think about it too much - especially while we were shooting - but when you're sitting on these giant blue screens with all these rigs, it's the opposite of an environment like [former film] Superbad. It's odd, but it's very exciting."

Stone is also well aware of Spidey's rebid fanbase and acknowledges their passion and her own desire to ensure they are not let down..

"Spider-Man has this built-in fan base, where people already know the story and are going in with their own opinions and expectations, so you're either going to live up to them or let people down," Stone said. "But it's really all about passion, and I love passionate people."

Why wasn't she cast as MJ? Why? Because she's not a redhead! She's a natural blonde! Always has been! She never had red hair in her life before 'Superbad'. That's why.

@ Nomis

She's actually a natural blond so it was still spot on. I'm not sure if she only started dying her hair red from Superbad on though. I know a lot of blonds that dye their hair red, my girlfriend being one of them (thank God since I love me a redhead.)

I don' know. I think it's got potential. I've never been a spider-man purist, but I've read enough to know the history and all. Just finished reading the Ultimate Spider-Man version and I really enjoyed it as a different take on the character. A fun read. And, seeing as how this reboot is heading in that direction, i think it'll be enjoyable.

@Logan-If Raimi had his way, he would've totally [frick]ed up the fourth one, worse than the third. Vulture and a Vulturess? And I heard they were going to be in some sort of Mechasuits...LMAO!
