June 2 is very nearly here, and we now have an amazing gallery of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse posters to share with you (via Toonado.com).

We're assuming they'll be officially released in the weeks ahead, but many of the sequel's main wall-crawling Variants receive the spotlight, including Scarlet Spider, a battle-damaged Miles Morales, and Pavitr Prabhakar, a.k.a. Spider-Man: India.

Talking of that character, he'll be voiced by Deadpool 3 star Karan Soni in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse follow-up, and gets to take centre stage in a newly released TV spot. For fans of this Spidey - who we never imagined would be brought to the big screen - this is going to be a real treat and we're glad Pavitr is finally getting his chance to shine.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises to be a jam-packed sequel, and we're hoping the team working on this franchise won't allow Miles to be overshadowed by the members of Spider-Man 2099's Spider Society.

Take a look at these new posters, and that never-before-seen footage, below.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.

Show us the emissary of hell already

Also, after watching this I'm surprised the emissary of hell became such a meme when he also called himself "destroyer of the mushroom".

Gotta say the new Spider-Man India design is growing on me. Also glad to see my Mumbai and its traffic from hell get some love.

@Ojeet78 - I’ve traveled all over the world and the only other city I’ve been to that has worse traffic than Mumbai is Manila. I feel for you having to deal with that on a regular basis. Seems like motorcycles are the easiest way to navigate it.

I grew up with one spider-man, and one is enough. This spiderverse shit is kinda lame. But great for kids.

@TheNewYorker - Sony needs to turn spider-man into it's own movie universe. That being said, Into The Spiderverse was pretty great. So I'll give this as chance.

Why Mumbattan?
Why not just Mumbai? It’s a bustling Metropolis as it is.
Why the weird Bollywood dancer clothes? Why the weird lines?

God this is the worst design choice ugh

@GetsugaTensho22 - I think they mentioned they wanted to evoke the sensibilities of old 70s Indian comics , hence the predominantly yellowish blue green palette. I am not a fan of his design either but his original design by Jeevan Kang is simplistic which I guess they didnt want for this movie. As for Mumbai being re-branded as Mumbattan, I guess it was to not hurt Indian sensibilities. The socio-political climate in India has been divisive post 2014. Even Black Panther's release in India , muted the phrase " Glory to Hanuman" so as to not hurt people's feelings. As a hindu this is all pretty ridiculous to me as well, cause I thought we were pretty chill about things but it is what it is. I just hope this movie doesn't lose Miles as the central focus of the story
