Jamie Foxx On Bringing Electro Back For The Sinister Six; Wants To Adapt And Star In SPAWN

The Django Unchained star drops some very intriguing hints about Electro's future in The Amazing Spider-Man Universe and teases the possibility of Max Dillon joining the Sinister Six. He also reveals that he's actively trying to bring Spawn to the big screen!

"I'll put it to you this way: you don't really kill electricity; it just goes to another place," Jamie Foxx teased when asked by Movies.com whether or not we should expect to see Electro return in a future instalment of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. "You can shut it off, but it's still somewhere. Look, I'm just happy and humbled to be in this one and hopefully do right by the fans in making Electro someone who has different sides. I want people to feel for him, so that when he does turn into Electro, you want to root for him. Whether he comes back again in another film ... you know, so be it." As for whether or not a possible return would include The Sinister Six, the Academy Award winning actor added: "You know, Electro was always tempted by the Sinister Six. So, we'll see. Look, stepping away from it, I would like to see something like that. That would make it like, okay, the big guys are coming to play." The more we hear, the more likely it sounds that it's actually going to happen! However, it turns out that this isn't the only comic book movie role that Foxx has his eye on. ""Spawn is one, yeah. And Mike Tyson. Those are two roles I would just love to do. I'm aggressively pursuing them!"

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Sally Fields as Aunt May

RELEASE DATE: May 2nd, 2014.

These actors seem to know a little too much about the Sinister Six...even the actors who aren't comicbook fans...or that don't watch the animated shows.....yeah, this Sinister Six movie is happening. Heck, even I thought about it when they said this franchise wasn't a trilogy anymore.
Any ways...a Sinister Six movie? Excited as [frick] :)

Micheal J. White has played both Mike Tyson in a T.V movie and Spawn in a live action film so Jamie wants to redo Micheals film I guess or wants to do it to spite him because he has beef with him or something. LOL! I can see Jamie play Spawn but no way could be play Tyson, he'd have to bulk up like The Rock and Walberg and he is to old but only time will tell.

Hell yes, let him be Spawn. I mean anything is a step up from that atrocity that was made many years ago...

As for Electro, I have high hopes. The guy is an amazing actor

Foxx explained the character a little more. “We wanted Electro to be serious; I wanted him to be a formidable opponent. I told him, I really want Electro to be angry. It makes the fight more epic – he doesn’t want to talk anymore, he wants to fight, he’ll burn the city down to get revenge.

“We wanted to do three things: Max [Dillon, Electro's real name] needed to be betrayed by love, by family and by his work. What happens is that it’s his birthday and even his mom doesn’t remember. That sets it up, the fact that when he turns into this guy, you understand where he’s coming from. We gave that journey more than one side.”

He won't do Spawn.

Mostly because MacFarlane is too lazy to direct his suppose movie.

Well, Jamie Fox basically just outed himself as the guy McFarlane's been talking to for the Spawn flick. McFarlane's been saying for the past two to three years that he's been talking to an "Oscar winning actor" for the role, so it really wouldn't surprise me if it was Fox.
