My Personal Reasons for not being in Favor of the Spider-Man Reboot

First off, I want to start this article by officially saying that anything said in this article is in now way meant to be derogatory towards Marc Webb or Andrew Garfield, mainly because I'm unfamiliar with either person's work. Now for the Article...

#1 Reason why I am not in favor of this reboot is, well to put it simply I'm pissed that Bruce Campbell won't be in it, at all. I love Bruce, in many peoples opinion he's just a B-Movie actor, but he's my personal favorite actor, and inspired me to enter screenwriting and film making. So for me to see a Spider-Man movie without Bruce, well, dammit, it's like Superman not having the Yellow "S" on his cape, sure it can work without it, but it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside just to see it.

It had to be said...

(Actual reasons that make sense) First off, i have to say, to can a movie, where Raimi was doing an honest job to make a good Spider-Man movie, by casting John Malckovich as the Vulture, BOO. Taking away a sure fire chance of seeing a HOT, 20-30 year old actress in tight leather, BOO! Instead we're more than likely going to see Green Goblin again, and if we're even close to lucky the Lizard in no.2 Raimi when he truly has time to make art makes good fun movies (for me personally ignoring Spidey 2) Knowing that his dedication to the series is gone for a director who's publicly known to only like the Ultimate Comics, and is already doing a half ass adaptation by making Pete a College Boy(I Mean seriously, are they even trying, by the time he would be in college he would know how to properly grieve and not put on colorful tights) now personally i don't want another high/college school teen whine pick, I'm in high school and personally i hear this shit all day, so why would i go pay like 8.50 just to sit through more of that, just with more tights. I'm sorry but does anyone really want this? High School or College it annoys me, especially since Garfield doesn't seem like a geek or a nerd to me, and looks thirty, I'm sorry but the only way i would believe this guy would be in college would be if this guy was married with a kid on the way and going to Ivy Tech for machine classes. Not to mention, through opening credits or not, we got to see the origin again, and personally i don't want to see that. i really don't. Let franchises like Fantastic Four get the sudo ultimate reboot, those kinda sucked. Spider-Man had a fantastic origin movie, why why why replace that with a half ass adaptation of Ultimate Spider-Man vol.1? well i don't and yeah there are the silver linings of getting the Peter Gwen Relationship. and i even thought of how the web-shooters could actually be made for the movie (Pete's dad leaves him notes and a half assembled prototype, which began as some military weapon which Pete finishes and use.) But I'm not sure we need this movie, if they had just decided to Batman Forever this i would be more forgiving of the change of cast just as long as it was established as a continuation. But we're out of luck, I'm not a fan, and chances are I'll still throw my money at it just to see whether or not it's as pointless as i think it is, i know I'm not alone in many cases, but when you had Maguire's Spidey who was going through college and you reformat the story so he gets bit in college, what's the [frick]ing point really?
