Hey Tacos here!
Recently Josh W. had written an article about Spiderman's wrestling outfit, and how that may be a possibility to what we see in these pictures so far. You can see the article at http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/joshw24/news/?a=28581 .
We've also seen an article showing pictures of his stunts. found at : http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/joshw24/news/?a=28721
I for one love the outfit, sure it's different, but do we all need to keep drinking the same Kool-Aid? Even half of the complainers on this site WILL SEE THE MOVIE. We owe it as FANS OF THE COMICS that we at least suppport the movie in some way...
Now, for the major speculation I'm feeling, and a lot of the times, my feelings are right. I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but the teaser of the article states: "Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man swinging through the streets of New York City (well, Los Angeles!) and tackling a robber while being pursued by the police..."
Is it possible that this robber is the very robber that killed Uncle Ben? That very same robber that sets up the story of responsibility. Raimi's Spiderman had changed the history of Uncle Ben's killer in Spiderman 3, but that doesn't mean that it had to change the history in our memories. Now that's just myself speculating. It could just be a random robber after all, but seeing the pictures of the wrestling outfit, and Josh's article, maybe these speculations aren't as far fetched as we would think. Personally, if this outfit happens to be the final suit, I'd be ok with that, ESPECIALLY if they have Spiderman wear the more traditional outfit in the inevitable sequels.
Also, on a side note, anyone remember that article about how this reboot COULD or COULDN'T (again, very highly unlikely) possibly be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We'll let me tell you, if they had an end credits scene, where Nick Fury (Sam Jackson) approaches Peter and says "You're not old enough yet, but one day, you can join the team" or something along the lines in the Ultimates version, I would probably sh!t my pants in the theater, thanking Marvel for joining more universes.
