New AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Viral Video Features A Message From Captain Stacy

Shedding new light on Captain Stacy's feelings against Spider-Man in the upcoming movie, this video (in the form of a Daily bugle news report) also offers up a brand new website in the viral campaign.

Earlier this year, a few fans were lucky enough to be selected to leave the "Mark of the Spider-Man" on the streets of several different American cities after taking part in a scavenger hunt. The following video (which features those same fans) was just released via the @markofspiderman Twitter account. The latest stage in Sony Pictures' viral campaign for Marc Webb's reboot of the franchise sees a Daily Bugle report with a message from Captain George Stacy. It finishes with a link to a new website which you can visit by clicking on the image below the video.

You can report your sightings of Spider-Man via the site and these will presumably be used at a later stage in this viral. What's next? Stay tuned to CBM and we'll be sure to bring you all of the updates as and when they happen.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

@MovieMaster, I agree, TDKR marketing campaign is simply boring. This Spider-man campaign wasn't anything special really, I mean we've seen such a campaign done before, but hey, at least they're trying to get you excited for the movie! WB are mainly relying on the success of TDK and Nolan's rep...let's hope they takes note and show some initiative soon...

Loved it, but they misspelled the word "accusations" in the video (at around 1:40). Heh. Sloppy editors, or misspelled on purpose?

I think you're bang on, Mothman. Avengers is a combo of one megahit superhero movie franchise(iron man), two so-so hits (thor and hulk), and one moderate hit (cap). The math is irrefutable. This film will do 250, maybe 300mil tops. Hobbit and tdkr will beat it. This isn't based on being a nolanite, or an anti-marvelite, I'm just being a realist.

Several odd things:

1. Who the hell cast that lady as a newscaster? She's got all these weird facial expressions and clown-like eyebrows.
2. They misspelled "accusations" as "accussations" and there were several other typos.
3. This video was awesome in spite of those problems.
4. The Bugle logo has Spider-Man's eyes in it.

Soooooo.....they turned Spider-man into Batman basically. The whole "Let's catch the vigilante" thing huh? Yawn. Thanks for killing Spider-man.

@NextHero08 Uhhh...actually, it's very possible that Spider-Man did this first, as he WAS wanted by the police all the way into the mid- to late-'80s... Then they stopped those kinds of stories for awhile, and the only person who hated Spider-Man was JJJ.

I've not read a lot of Batman, but with Year One being the only exception, every old Batman book I've read (going back to the '40s) has Batman considered a hero by the police if not outright working with them.
