Sony Pictures have released a new banner for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (which we've previously seen a low-res version of), and it features the titular wall-crawler overlooking New York City from atop the Oscorp building. Hit the jump to check it out!

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

I agree. Electro's plot device for becoming a villain is stupid. "AH, you forgot my name and my b-day! For that, I'll destroy NYC!". And I'm not cool with Mecha Rhino.

It's so weird how unexcited I am for this. The Goblin just looks dumb, Rhino has machine guns, Electro looks like the most badass character in this, that and like the classic Spidey suit and humor. I'm just not that pumped, I'd be more pumped if it was in the MCU.

Just how they did Electro overall, even though I haven't seen it. From what I see in the trailers, is Max's persona and look is very over exaggerated.

Think of it this way. What if everyone one you ever loved treated you like crap and you are deprested and lonly. Your on you last legs. Then a Famous person comes in and pretends to want to be your friend. Then later when you meat back up with them they act as if they don't even know who you are. At that moment you realize you are worthless and no one ever really care about you. So why should you care about any one else?

Electro is going to have more of a purpose and reason for becoming evil. I'm positively sure the man in the shadows from part 1 or Norman will tell him if he kills Spidey he'll get more power or something. The generic reason of Spidey forgetting his name is just a time buyer or addition to the core reason. Just wait.

The thing about the whole "YOU FORGOT MY NAME" scene is that it's obviously cut. I've viewed it a few times. He says "you forgot my name" then he goes into a completely different tone "YOU LIED TO ME" so either he's bipolar as hell or there's some dialogue that a lot of CBM commenters seem to want ignore the possibility off because of an edited trailer.
