We have seen a few of these amateur set vids lately but this one gives us the closest(albeit a bit shaky!) look at the new costume with the mask that is being worn by who we assume is Andrew Garfield's stunt double.



I think it's a safe bet that ol Spidey has run out of web fluid here! Either that or, this incarnation ain't the brightest I guess. Anyway, all looking pretty good so far.

Dude more belt seriously?..Spider-Man has ALWAYS worn his belt UNDER his costume. Scarlet Spider is the one that wore the belt on the outside.

@patriautism - I know, I mean that belt like stripe that connected to the main red part on his chest.

EDIT: Yeah! That stripe, around his waist (like a belt) right under his hand in that last panel you posted.

lol at "[frick] you Raimi". Dude if this flick is even half as good as Spider-Man 2 I will be very happy indeed.

The belt thing, I'm not a huge Spidey fan but I do really like the character and have read my share of his adventures. Was the belt thing really that big an issue?

im with ROR. spiderman 2 was fantastic and spiderman 1 was great. this movie should count its blessings if its half as good as those.

Is it just me or does this costume not have the spider emblem or the eyes on the mask? it might be the quality of the video preventing us from seeing it but i speculate that this might be pre-webshooter and pre-finished costume

The belt really isn't a big deal it's just people nit picking the hell out of the costume, and it's not even the belt they're pissy about it's that the red doesn't continue around his waist LIKE a belt, like previously said he wears his actual utility belt under his costume.

So far this is looking good!

Holy [frick]!!! There's actually no belt to his costume!!! I thought we just hadn't seen a decent shot of him to tell but this seals it! HE HAS NO RED BELT!!! And not only that but, the red continues down over his nads!!! LIKE A MANKINI!!! Weird... "is very niiice!"

@dragonking, I hear ya, but why would they release an official image of him without the belt? I know why they may save the mask for later, but it kinda erks me the wrong way that theirs no belt. Sorry to sound like a Helmet Belt Fanatic lol

Slowed it down again, looks like the front side of his belt is hanging down @ 0:17 when he jumps in the truck.
