Alright, the finale to my Amazing Spiderman Run. The moment everyone has been waiting for! It's time to see how it all plays out, after all this buildup!
Me and ILoveStargirl have been doing this for a while now, and we’ve prepared a grand finale to end on the highest note possible.
The following is my complete list of Amazing Spider Man Run Articles for you to read if you haven't read them.
And now…. The End
I've done so much in my time writing this to completely change the world of Spiderman forever! It would be almost impossible to list everything, but the basics are here:
Peter is married to MJ and has a daughter. They're all heroes.
Doc Ock has become a hero, married Anna Maria, and leads a team of reformed SuperVillains made up of
Doc Ock(wants to help other former villains like himself)
Harry Osborn(who is now able to care for his children)
Sandman(here to try and set a better example for his adopted daughter and because Doc Ock is an old friend)
Clash( he's become a hero now working alongside Parker Industries)
and Ana Kravinoff, (Miles Morales’s former arch enemy who appears to have joined for the sole purpose of to stick it to her father… and mother….but not her Uncle , she liked him)
Miles Morales leads The Slingers, made up of
Miles Morales
Silk
Sarah Stacy
Kaine
Ben Reilly
Black Cat
Lilly Hollister/Queen Cat
Parker Industries is back, but smaller. It's a scientific think tank, as well as an organization that connects the Spider based heroes and loans out the Spiderman name to charity groups. Parker Industries also works with Silver and Black international, a bounty hunting group formerly made up of Silver Sable and Black Cat, now that Savle is dead though, it's made up of Black and Queen Cat. Parker Industries is growing though, and Peter is currently planning to open a second lab.
First, a miniseries with J Jonah Jameson and Man Wolf/ John Jameson. It’ll be a story about the relationship between the father and son, and them trying to be heroes and fight crime, since JJ got Spider powers. They’ll go after the villain The Hound together, as he's a fugitive and ruined Jameson's reputation a few years ago. They’ll learn and grow with each other, their strained relationship being strained as they go along. The Hound will nearly kill Jameson, but together father and son will beat him. Also, we’ll go into the daily bugle, and how with Jameson as a normal reporter since getting a job there, Betty Brant is the new Editor in chief.
Slingers Arc 15: The Zodiac War
In the Aftermath of the incident with Menace, Lilly and Felecia are returning to Symkaria to run their business, saying goodbye to The Slingers. At the same time, large portions of the team are unsure of Doc Ock's new team:
The Spectacular Six!
Miles in particular, despite his rational mind telling him everything is fine, his emotions refuse to allow him to trust Ana Kravinoff.
Meanwhile, Alistair Smythe has been working with Zodiac from his prison, planning to eventually usurp control from Scorpion, the leader of the international terrorist organization, and his second in command, Carmilla Black aka Black Scorpion. The first part of this plan? Liz Allen’s super prison in space. Remember it was shaped like a donut? Well, the Zodiac tracks down some old Spider Slayers, and releases them to begin working on completing construction of the prison, altering it to fit Smythe’s specifications.
The Slingers will, having learned of spider slayers being stolen from a Spider Slayer prison, decide to go to track down Zodiac and learn from Peter Parker, who Miles communicates with about the team that Peter has been trying to handle it himself as Scorpion is the leader. Peter decides he trusts Miles to do this now, he's proven himself, and so the Spectacular Six and The Slingers head off to learn what's going on, traveling to the base of the Zodiac in Madripoor! There will be an awkward quinjet ride where former arch enemies Miles and Ana get seats next to each other. Fortunately, Ana spends most of the time watching the inflight movie.
They make it to Madripoor and begin scouting out the Zodiac Headquarters, but things go wrong when when it's revealed that a mole has been feeding information to Scorpion! Miles attacks Ana, but in truth it's really Ben Reilly, who has been being mind controlled by nanoslayers this entire time! He uses high tech weapons to turn SandMan to glass, disable the tech of Clash and Doc Ock, then, being both a Slayer and having the memories of Peter Parker, but at this point having no conscience, wipe the floor with the other heroes and villains, leading to a one on one fight with a Miles already injured from fighting Ana. This super spider slayer that is Ben Reilly, plus attacking Zodiac members beat Miles, though he puts up a good fight. They actually would have stopped him if not for more slayers and Zodiac being there. They definitely could have beat him if they had some prep time. The frozen Sandman is captured and carted away. The rest of the team escapes, but at this point it's
Injured Miles
Doc Ock with no arm weapons
Harry Osborn
Clash with no suit
Ana Kravinoff
Sarah Stacy, currently comatose
Silk
Kaine, angry at Miles for failing to notice something was wrong with Ben, he was their leader, and he was too focused on Ana to notice the real enemy!
Meanwhile, Ben Reilly has had his conscience disabled by NanoSlayers, and is working for Scorpion and Zodiac to bring Silver Sable back from the dead to become Sagittarius!
The Zodiac is also secretly arranging Smythe’s escape from prison, as he will be valuable to them once they kill Scorpion and Black Scorpion. The heroes all regroup. Tech is fixed, wounds are tended to, but Sarah remains comatose. Miles beats himself up over having failed as a leader, Kaine also beats him up over it. Doc Ock and Clash are able to get Kaine to stop. Doc Ock must stay behind to try to fix Sandman, so Miles is told to deal with his problems later. Right now he just needs to focus. They came here to take down Zodiac, they need to know why they did what they did. Kaine volunteers to infiltrate Zodiac and impersonate his clone. Try prepare for this, and the former villains Doc Ock and Harry Osborn both prepare some old fashioned Spiderman traps to catch Rielly and have him replaced. A camoflagued Miles finds Rielly, not triggering his Spider sense as he's not planning to cause him harm, he's trying to save him. Ana Kravinoff drugs him with Goblin/Octopus designed tranquilizers. Kaine replaces him, and infiltrates the Zodiac. He learns that he's reviving Sable, and has to fake knowing what he's doing for a while. He goes to investigate the zodiac computers using Doc Ock hacking tech, and transmits back to the team what's going on. The space prison…. it's being altered by the spider slayers up in space right now…. Being transformed into…. The Nazi Sun Gun! And Sandman, he's being used to make the several square miles of glass needed to reflect the sun into the heat ray.
Kaine is then caught when he discovers the real Ben Reilly and Alistair Smythe behind him. They set him up in a death trap, and the entire team including the Scorpions watch as man eating nanobots slowly move closer up from a pit towards the hanging Kaine, as he tries and fails to convince them he's Ben Reilly and Ben’s Kaine! Failing at this, he informs Scorpion the children of Albert Malik that make up the rest of the Zodiac(minus Sagittarius) have been planning to overthrow him. Scorpion halts everything, and demands to know if this is true. A battle erupts between Scorpions and spider Slayers and Kaine must try to escape as the nanobots are reactivated! He breaks free of his chains and makes it out to find Black Cat and Queen Cat on the roof, having come looking for the body of Silver Sable.
Scorpion and Black Scorpion escape in the conflict, but with them both ousted from the Zodiac, the new leader takes hold. The leader of the Malik children, Robert Malik, calling himself Libra, begin the next phase of their plan to conquer the world. Our new Zodiac has every member except Scorpio and Sagittarius, but Sagittarius will be there once Sable is revived. Ben Reilly, behaving like a wisecracking mad scientist with his conscience gone, brings her back, then the spider slayers that have surrounded the building, which are actively keeping any heroes trying to enter away, form into a rocket with nanotechnology and blast off.
The heroes regroup together, Sarah wakes up, and they form into a combined team of
Miles
Silk
Doc Ock
Clash
Harry Osborn
Ana Kravinoff
Sarah Stacy
Kaine
Black Cat
And Queen Cat
Against the Zodiac, Alistair Smythe, an army of Spider Slayers, a newly revived Silver Sable, now a brainwashed assassin, and a mad scientist Ben Reilly with no conscience. The entire world hangs in the balance.
Miles prepares to call Peter Parker, not thinking they can do this alone, only to have a quick call from Peter to explain that he's dealing with some very crazy, universe destroying stuff right now and he can't talk. He's on earth 001 with Carnage and he's not even sure how this call is going through. He’ll call him back though in a few hours. Miles realizes that they're on their own, and gets Silk and Doc Ock together to make battle plans.
Amazing Spiderman Arc 21: Prelude to All Good Things Must Come To An End
The Parker family has returned to earth 616, and just in time for Parker Industries to finally open a second lab. Tony Stark will be visiting the opening ceremony, offering Peter some help if he needs any, as his last company kinda crashed and burned. Tony is usually brash and arrogant, but he means well, so Peter politely declines. Kristy Watson will be there to report for her blog. This building will have its own Parker Particles lab, where the particles are studied as safely and securely as possible. Peter will be showing reporters around, when something crazy happens. The villain Regent will suddenly appear, beat up Spiderman very badly, Tony will join in in the fight, the armor he's wearing will be trashed, and Kristy will be knocked into the Parker Particles. Regent will disappear, and we’ll learn Kristy has gained Parker Particle powers, like super speed, strength, and the ability to connect her bodies energy fields to that of mechanical devices, allowing her to control them. There's no telling if she’ll get any more abilities over time though, as she's missing several the Parker Particles fueled hero Alpha had, and hers seem to function somewhat differently.
Tony will learn after having friends in SHIELD check up on their worlds Regent that he currently doesn't have his power suit and has been in prison the entire time. However, he claims to have psychically linked with himself from another dimension, a version of himself(not the Renew Your Vows one, one that succeeded in defeating all the heroes including the Parker Family). This Regent is trying to get to our world, and was briefly able to riding on the energy given off by the Parker Particles, energy so powerful it breaches dimensions microscopically.
He’ll end up making it into our dimension, and Peter and Iron Man will have to fight him. We’ll see their differences as heroes, and how despite them both having companies, they really aren't the same. Peter and Stark behave differently with their money, Stark is a bit more reckless, they both are the type to plan and prepare for a coming villain with machines they could use to defeat him. They’re both witty and play off each other well. Tony kinda gets on Peter’s nerves with some of his schtick, but they mostly get along. Peter is a bit wary with him for a few reasons due to their past, though they're friends now and he forgives him for the Civil War stuff. Tony has changed and grown since that and it was years ago.
My goal with this story is not just to show their similarities and differences, but also show Regent as a cool villain. Regent really should be a good villain with his back ground but he's been lackluster in the past, On his world he conquered and killed all the heroes. And, in the 616 version, he's got a his family died backstory we can do something with. We’ll do the same backstory here. Also, he has a sense of humor, despite being a maniac who wants to kill and take the powers of every hero in existence. Peter and Tony will fight him, Tony using a suit he's designed for his worlds regent that works fairly well, Peter using Parker Industries tech. They’ll fail, but both try hard, as they're heroes. For their differences they're still the same in that way. Kristy will however briefly tap into more of the Parker Particles powers to defeat Regent and banish him back to his world. She’ll return to her previous power levels, but the possibility of getting more will still be there. During this story, Parker Industries would have quickly got everything they needed together to defeat Regent, impressing Tony Stark. They shut down the building and engage all defenses when he arrives. Some of the tech actually holds him off log enough for them both to survive.
We’ll have a May solo story where while her parents are out for date night, she teams up with the Power Pack(well, goes to a sleepover at their home) and battles the villain Anthony Power. There will be some funny stuff with how rare the last name power is, but both the heroes and the completely unrelated villain having the same last name.
We’ll have the Parker parents story also told, with both happy to finally have a nice and relaxing date using reservations for the rainbow room. Peter has been doing a lot of Spiderman stuff lately, and with the added stress of the new Parker Industries lab opening, along with still feeling bad he didn't notice Liz Allen was going crazy, it's nice to get a break. There's some romance. Then, when they're done eating and about to dance, the Rockefeller center is attacked by an army of Spiders. MJ is glad they waited until after they were done eating to attack, Peter realizes, logically, they're probably here for him and MJ. Him and MJ try to get everyone out through the emergency exits, telling them Spiders really aren't that bad, just scary looking, and that these seem to be just normal, non poisonous house spiders.
This is when the giant, poison barb spitting spider starts to scale the building. Peter and MJ suit up, MJ having had the Iron Spider suit for herself waiting on the roof just in case. They leave out the windows and fight it on the side of the Rockefeller center(FWI, I'm moving to New York at the end of the year and this is one of the locations I want to visit) The monster speaks, revealing it was Antón Miguel Rodríguez, or the Tarantula! When Ben Reilly brought him back in dead no more, he almost succumbed to the carrion virus. Fortunately, he saved himself by permanently transforming into his giant spider monster form. But, now, he's learned the plight of the spiders, and he will be their champion! He is no longer Anton or Tarantula, he is TYRANTULA, KING OF THE SPIDERS! They fight Tyrantula, we get some cool side of a building fight scenes, and they fight the army of spiders surging through the building(which Peter feels oddly bad about due to his origin), and after getting some tech shot in by rocket from Anna Maria, they're able to freeze Tyrantula, leaving a giant frozen spider monster statue on the roof. After he's frozen, they return home, joking about how they need a vacation, or to retire….
We begin our next story when Peter returns home from a fight with Rhino just in time for May Parker’s eleventh birthday. A party is prepared at a bowling alley, with Normie and Stanley Osborn, Franklin and Valeria Richards, some kids from Xavier's school May had befriended, the Power Pack, and a few normal kids from May’s school that are utterly shocked by all this crazy superhero stuff at the party at a local bowling alley reserved by Peter for use today. There's fun, food, and everything is going great, then a portal to another dimension opens, releasing Venom and a female Anti Venom, along with Spider-Goblin, the spider hero we saw in Sinister 666 that fakes insanity to scare his enemies and was a fan of Dungeons and Dragons. Peter and MJ question what they're doing here, and Eddie Brock and Anti Venom/ Jackie, the alternate universe post apocalyptic version of Anne Weying, inform them that earth 666 has been destroyed, and what did it is coming for them next! Peter demands to know what's coming. Eddie tells him: Mephisto! Immediately, Peter, MJ, May, and the Earth 666 heroes head ask to hear the story of what happened. They tell their story.
This takes two issues.
After the fall of the worlds Emperor, the Supreme Sorcerer Mysterio, the world devolved into complete chaos. It is shown to be like a Mad Max/Conan hybrid, with steampunk gangs roaming the desert that used to be the Atlantic Ocean, mutants and cannibals everywhere, Mysterio Worshipers building cults and sacrificing humans, and the occasional groups of demon zombies forming armies of darkness after being unleaded from the wreckage of the Manhattan sized Sanctum Sanctorum. Eddie Brock had just returned to the world from ours to reunite with the currently unpowered Jackie, who had been leading her tribe of survivors through the Atlantic desert, hearing rumors a civilization of fellow survivors had been established in the ruins of London. They needed to get there fast though, as Jackie had angered a desert warlord, Cletus Cassidy, the leader of the cannibalistic Carnage tribe, which rides through the desert on weaponizing big rigs, after refusing to join there tribes and become one of his brides. Now, he wanted to eat her and her tribe for denying him.
The Carnage tribe will catch up, but they’ll manage to steal on of the big rigs after a cool Venom vs Big Rigs fight. We get a car chase, the Jackie tribe Venom has chosen to lethally protect will almost manage to escape, Brock and Jackie working in unison battling Carnage tribe members trying to board them on the roof. Unfortunately, they’ll crash when a catapult shoots them. Brock and Jackie will get a last chance to survive in the makeshift gladiator ring constructed by the Carnage tribe, win, Jackie will decapitate Cletus, and they steal the big rigs and escape. What they don't realize though, is an army of the dead still waits between them and New London.
Meanwhile, in New London, a mysterious figure had appeared, half dead in an alley. He had finally made it here. It had nearly taken all of his energy to battle Strange, Ghost Rider, and Spiderman, but fortunately, he had managed to trick them into thinking they had won and escape to a world with strong magic and more than enough dark souls for him to consume. He heads to a nearby tavern, and searches for an easy score. A man, drinking himself into oblivion. He questions him? What happened? He can sense pain. He can compel the man to speak truthfully, even in this weak, mortal form he's now trapped in. Being human is disgusting, and he wants out as soon as possible. The man tells him. Raiders, they killed his family. Mephisto offers to wipe way his memory of his family in exchange for his soul. The man accepts.
We learn more about the Jackie tribe’s journey, and them trying to get past the area they need to go through to get to New London before the zombie horde reaches the path. They almost end up making it, but then the Army of the dead arrives. Venom battles an army of zombies, not just people but various shark, sea monster, and whale carcasses from the Atlantic Desert. When hope seems lost, Spider-Goblin arrives and leads them to an oil rig reaching high in the sky. They escape the zombie horde and make it up, where we learn Spider-Goblin has an entire village of people living in it, with him as protector. At first, it was fine, but they're running out of food and water now, and the zombie herd attacking now has been circling them for days. Jackie and Eddie offer to help him get his people out, and tell him about New London. Venom will manage to lead the zombie horde away and battle them while the two tribes get into the big rigs and drive off. Venom leads the zombies into a trap, a ravine filled with explosives from the oil rig(it was a Roxxon rig, they had some illegal stuff going on there.)
Anyway, they learn that earth 666 was actually Spider Goblin’s world until Mysterio become sorcerer supreme, disappeared for a few years, then returned with an army of alternate sinister six members, with which he took over in a way that started world war three, and established himself as a god to the survivors of the post apocalyptic world. Venom questions if he's this universes Peter Parker, and he doesn't know who that is.
The second issue moves to when they get to New London, which by now, has had a change in leadership. It seems like a perfect new civilization built up beyond its massive outer walls most of the old city was destroyed with a few landmarks like Big Ben remaining, and there's no electricity, causing it to resemble a cross between Kings Landing and a Victorian era city. Things seem perfect, everyone is happy, but it's a bit off. If you asked around, you'd be told the leader of this society, living in the Tower of London, Master Gaunt, was a kind man who had helped everyone here to make life perfect.
Venom investigates, discovers things are not as they seem, and Master is Mephisto in human form. He's captured, Mephisto reveals that when he first started doing this, he was trapped as a near human. He's been forced to gain souls through parlor tricks and wish granting. But soon, he's going to have an entire city of souls to consume.
Jackie will learn that the townspeople have been commanded to do some sort of occult ritual that night so the “gifts” of the master will continue. Jackie goes, fights off some of Mephisto's guards, saves a locked up Eddie set to be sacrificed by some devil cultists that know the truth about Mephisto. Eddie is kept from transforming by fire, but they get out and he reverts. Mephisto tries to kill them both, then stops, jokingly comments he's been foiled by the power of love again, smiles, shrugs, and disappears. They reveal to the people of New London that Master Gaunt is trying to steal their souls, most believe him, those who don't are vaporized.
He returns tells them that was a lie, he can still kill them, attacks them, then after a short fight tells them death would be too good for them, instead, he's going to destroy them, Eddie screams in rage and horror as he bonds an Anti-Venom Symbiote to Jackie. He then tells her to ask about Anne Waying and leaves.
He teleports away, Jackie becomes the new Master of New London, her relationship suffers as she's been permanently bonded to Anti-Venom and just touching Eddie causes him physical harm. The Symbiote is terrified of her now.
Mephisto rallies demonic zombies and the large number of devil worshippers that live in this post apocalyptic world. Over time, he begins to take over more and more, gaining more and more of his power back.
Spider-Goblin is revealed to be this universes Phil Ulrich, except here he's a good guy and has spider powers. Eddie plans to confide in Jackie that his dead ex wife on his earth is her alternate version. She doesn't know what to think of this information and him withholding it so long, when Mephisto's army attacks suddenly and unexpectedly. Mephisto reveals he's consuming this world, and soon he will be back to full power. The city is destroyed, friends die all around them, Brock manages to get his dimensional teleporter then tries to get survivors out. His Symbiote takes over due to fear of death because the planet is catching on fire. He fights it back and reprimands it, getting Jackie and Phil Ulrich through the portal right before the world is destroyed. Everyone the three of them knows and love dies instantly. They are the last survivors of earth 666, and they've come to deliver a message. Mephisto is coming home!
In an Epilogue, Mephisto speaks to his son Blackheart. He's still weakened, not at full power. He explains he's come to tell Blackheart he's sorry for getting mad at his son for all those times he tried to destroy the Earth. Destroying Earth is a lot of fun. Blackheart embraces his father, they hug for a while, and we get a nice moment between the devil and his monster son, before Mephisto drains all of Blackhearts energy and kills him. He's sorry, but he needed to get back to full power and that was the easiest way he could think of to replenish his energy.
That ends the two issue backstory, and the actual story begins…. as Carlie Cooper arrives. Carlie will explain that Gabriel Stacy attacked her home in Chicago. He said he wants to kill all of Peter’s previous loved ones before he goes for the family. Also, he's changed. He's more powerful, like a demon. Eddie confides in Peter this may be Mephisto's doing. They’ll wait at the home until a demonically powered Gabriel Stacy, looking like the antichrist in a goblin costume, attacks, disabling Eddie with fire, throwing Jackie through the building, and upon realizing who Spider Goblin is, nearly killing him. He’ll stop moments before he can kill Phil as the Parker's and Carlie are getting away. We’ll get a bit of a slow and quiet issue where we see Carlie coming to terms with her missed opportunities of the past and the ode she could have had, while also trying to be happy for Peter that he's found a place for himself in the world, as at the same time Peter, May, and MJ have to try and get her across the city from their home to Avengers Mansion. It’ll basically just be, from the Peter perspective, get from point a to point b with a crazed killer that wants to destroy your family and brainwash your daughter stalking you. They’ll go from abandoned buildings to the crowded streets to subway tunnels trying to get to the closest safe place. In a strange and seemingly out of character move, while seperated Carlie will try and fail to kiss Peter, him stopping her, trying to let her down easy, telling her the stress is getting to all of them but not to forget why she broke up with him in the first place.
They’ll eventually, running for their lives, get to Avengers Mansion, only to find that it's completly empty. They learn after MJ, with the cell phone she got for her birthday, calls Franklin, and learns the Avengers are all on the West Coast, as are the Fantastic Four, fighting some sort of horrible monster that rose out of the depths, threatening to destroy mankind. It's filled with dark magic, making it almost impossible to kill. They look out the window, and discover that the buildings been surrounded by gang members in goblin gear. The goblin nation has returned, and they're surrounded. Carlie reveals in a twist that she's not who she claims to be, she's a succubus working for Mephisto, the demon “ Karlicuper.” Peter will joke about this name, as it's literally Carlie Cooper, then demand to know where the real Carlie is. Karlicuper claims there is no Carlie, it was always her, working on behalf of her master Mephisto! He battles the demon as MJ and May go to activate the security lockdown system on Avengers Mansion. They’ll manage to succeed and escape down a secret tunnel to regroup. Meanwhile, Scorpion, Smythe, and the Zodiac arrive in New York, and promptly begin their master plan, releasing an army of Spider Slayers that attack the city and destroy multiple bridges.
Spider Slayers flood the tunnels, and the Parker Family fights them the best they can, until they get reinforcements in the form of the Slingers. They defeat the slayers and head back to the surface, where Miles explains what's going on. They meet up with the Spectacular Six, who have been leading civilians to safety in an old Doc Ock base beneath the city. The Parker family will learn the city has been flooded with not just Spider Slayers, but normal gangsters and mercenaries that have been, up to this point, underground since Goblin Nation originally fell. No one can get or of the city and there are turf wars going on between Goblin Nation and Zodiac due to both having decided to attack the city at the same time.
Harry has to go, as his kids are back at his home, and with Gabriel Stacy out there, he could try to grab Normie and do something to him. The Parker Family go with him, and they travel to the Osborn home, where Gabriel Stacy and the demon Karlicuper wait. Karlicuper resembles the monster version of Carlie from the original Goblin Nation, but with green bat wings and more pronounced fangs.
We get to see a Harry/ Green Goblin vs Gabriel/Goblin King fight. Brother against brother. Good goblin vs evil goblin. Gabriel will be enraged that Harry is friends with the Parker's, and has allowed his children to befriend May Parker. Karicuper will infect Normie with a stolen Symbiote, a green and purple one, that has been merged with Goblin serum, and Normie will briefly morph into a goblin like monster. May and what the demon Karlicuper jokingly calls “The Imp” will battle through the building, May trying to convince Normie to fight through this. She was briefly merged with a Carnage clone back during ManiacHatten, and she knows how difficult it is. We learn due to the goblin serum Normie is not vulnerable to Sonics, and instead is able to give off a Phil Ulrich style sonic laugh.
Harry will be defeated, and almost killed, fortunately Peter stops him, and we’ll get a Gabriel vs Peter and Karlicuper vs MJ fight. Karlicuper tells MJ she's a demon, more powerful than she can imagine, and she's just a stupid human. Carlicuper comments on how she's not only a demon, but actually went to college for Forensic sciences, while MJ is just an airhead model, who couldn't even tell when her own husband’s mind was replaced by Doc Ock's. MJ punches Karicuper through a wall, she responds by first spitting out blood, than trying to slice through MJ’s iron spider armor, Peter will fight the very vicious Gabriel, who hates Spiderman completely, having been conditioned to from birth. Fortunately, though the Parker's seem to be losing, Harry wakes up and fights Gabriel and Carlikuper alongside them. At the same time, Normie is able to take control of his Symbiote due to his friendship with May, and he uses a sonic laugh on Gabriel. Gabriel is defeated, and Karlicuper retreats.
After the Osborn family reunites and heads back to base, Peter and his family discover and go down a mystery tunnel, and soon discover something strange, they’re no longer in a normal tunnel, and are instead in a massive underground cave. Mephisto arrives, and tells Peter that he's only here to explain himself. To tell him why he's going to do what he's going to do.
Mephisto's reasons for what he does are simple, Peter Parker is too good, too responsible. Who cares about responsibility that much? Humans, all their goodness, their responsibility, that's why Mephisto does what he does, to show how fragile all of it is and laugh as they throw it all away for the most petty, human reasons. And destroying Peter Parker, bringing him down to his level, that's the best feeling in the world. Mephisto confesses that their little deal wasn't the first time he danced with the devil. He made so many attempts to destroy Peter, to make him feel pain. He and Norman Osborn both funded the Jackel’s experiments, Judas Traveller, that enigma of half baked philosophy that's too dumb to see what's going on beyond his own mind… an impersonation done by Mephisto, an attempt to make Peter question himself, and what he really considers good and evil. The Stacy twins, another attempt to make Peter question himself, he created a duplicate of Aunt May in the Gathering of five after the original died. Mephisto admits that he found Norman Osborn's excuse that the one that died was a genetically altered actress, but he went with Norman's plan, because it still worked. Peter still fell for it! He did this to make him remember his darkest moments with Uncle Ben, to make him unable to move on from the past, always constantly reminded of his failings, because he knew that when Peter saw her, he would be reminded of Uncle Ben. It was all an attempt to destroy his spirit, to make him more and more filled with guilt. He caused her to be shot years later, the thing that resulted in reality being changed so him and MJ weren't married, because no matter what, he was always the one pulling the strings!
He even was was responsible of Norman's more psychopatic and sadistic personality after he woke up thanks to his healing factor in order to start The Clone Saga. He and Norman worked together on the deal! He made a deal with Norman, where Norman promised to set things up so he could himself use tech to controll the minds of Dr. Strange, Reed Richards and Elixir to prevent saving Aunt May's life after getting shot and also brainwash Peter into thinking that making a deal with Mephisto is the only viable option to save his Aunt May's life. Norman did great there. Mephisto was impressed. In return he brought back Harry Osborn. One, to repay Norman, and two, to ensure if Peter ever found out and tried to undo the deal, he would kill his friend.
Mephisto talks about the complexity of a demonic contract. Sometimes there are loopholes that make the whole thing fall apart. But then, the boy disowned his father. Norman's deal had asked his son be brought back, and with Harry not his son, the deal was considerably weakened and it allowing to Peter to undo the deal and rebuild his life. He mentions this next deal though, it has no loopholes it... he stops, he's getting ahead of himself. He backtracks.
Civil War, not his fault but he helped a little bit, all of this set up to finally break Peter. And with their deal, he had finally won. At least for a while, until Peter decided he was going to start to “rebuild”. He hates when humans do that. He placed some blockers n Peter's way, his head Succubus, the demon “Karlicuper”, but he just fought through them, eventually, he decided that maybe, he should wait. Relax, take a break from their little game, until Peter had fully rebuilt. That way, it would be so much sweeter when he brought the house down all over again. Then, Peter found out about what he did, he and Strange and ugh… Johnny..., took away his power, almost ended his reign for good, does he know how hard it was to rebuild on that dead end post Apocalyptic world!?!?
He calms himself. Slows down a bit. What he's really trying to put into words is… He was messing around before, but now he's angry. Mephisto attacks, Peter tries to defend his family, taking the blows himself, but Mephisto isn't here for him. MJ is knocked unconscious against a wall. Then, the unthinkable. Peter holds May in his arms as she bleeds out. Mephisto grins over them, his shadow consuming them. The room is dark, inky black. He glows with red, primadorial energy. He tells Peter he can save her. Peter looks up. Reluctantly, he tells him “He’ll do anything.” He can't lose her. She's everything. Mephisto tells him, he wants his marriage. Peter stares down at his daughter. He accepts.
The Slingers Arc 16: Prelude to All Good Things Must Come To An End
The combined forces of the remaining N members of The Slingers, the Spectacular Six, and Silver and Black regroup to prepare an attack on Zodiac. Their main goal is to get to the sun gun in space before construction can be completed and before Zodiac can activate it and destroy it. Meanwhile, Scorpion and Black Scorpion have found housing in Madripoor at an old shipping yard to recuperate. They were the leaders of Zodiac, and now The Malik children have stolen that from them. They need to strike back and kill them all or they’ll lose all the credibility they once had in supervillain society.
Meanwhile, Evil Ben Reilly is on the rocket to the space station, happy to help out the Malik children, and he's having a great time with transforming Silver Sable into a cyborg Sagittarius, but he wants in on the Malik children's plan. Why are they doing this? What is Libra and his siblings goals?
Libra explains, their father, Albert Malik, was part of the USSR, but his goals were beyond that. He foresaw, that eventually, without Stalin, that the USSR would fall, and he took steps to ensure his own survival. He created a line of genetically pure super soldiers, each infused with his own DNA. They were given to foster families throughout the Soviet Bloc, families that would allow the children to become members of high society, strategists, General's, or billionaires. After their 18th birthday, each of them were tracked down by an associate of their father, a spy who could trigger their repressed programming placed into their minds at birth. All but one of them were successfully turned. Once they had learned their true purpose, they began a plan to dominate the world, a plan that has led them here!
Ben asks who the one that they failed to turn was, and it's revealed that Silver Sable, due to her traumatic experiences as a child, no longer reacted to the trigger word the spy had given, making her a lost cause, unless they could successfully find her and brainwash her. It proved difficult, after she became Silver Sable it took years to finally get an opportunity to turn her, but now they finally have all the pieces together. With all 11 of the biological children of Albert Malik, reconstitution can begin! Ben asks what that is. Libra explains that this is the purpose that they were given. They have been genetically modified so that once conversion is complete, they are psychically linked. 11 of them together will form all the pieces of Albert Malik’s mind stored within them, and with their deaths, they will return him to life in their bodies and bring about a new age the likes of which the world has never seen!
Now understanding what they're getting into, the heroes prepare EMP devices built for this purpose that can deactivate Nanoslayers, and go to their quinjet to fly into space. The Sun Gun being built up there is big enough not just to blow up a city, but several states. We’ll get some stuff with the Quinjet being over crowded with multiple teams on it. They’ll fight Zodiac as Sandman is manipulated by nanobots to stretch himself into the glass for the sun gun. There are so many slayers that the EMP needs to be placed directly in the center of it's going to hit all of them at once. Miles tells all of them that if they fight today they're all Slingers.
Clash takes hold of the ship and after dropping the other heroes off on the station, fight some Slayers in space trying to get it in place. The heroes flood the base, battle some slayers, as wells as evil Ben, try to save Sandman, succeed in saving Flint Marko, but enough of him has been used and turned to glass he's only able to form a tiny version of himself. We learn the villains plan to set the entire east coast on fire than demand control over the earth, or else they’ll use it again.
Kaine fights Ben and is able to use one of the smaller nanite destroyer EMP’s they have, the ones that shut down specific people they used on the original Slingers in El Rey. Ben explains to the heroes the villains plan to take over the world using the Sun Gun to destroy entire cities, as well as merge their minds to bring back the former criminal mastermind and Red Skull Albert Malik. Several of the heroes find the Malik Children, but fail to stop them as psychic energy destroys their minds, leaving them comatose one by one. Robert Malik/Libra asks his father to do him the ultimate honor and take his body has host, but Albert refuses.
Black Cat encounters the resurrected Cyborg Silver Sable, tries to snap her out of it but a nearby Smythe tells her it's no use, he's ensured none of her is left in there. Sable reveals she is now Albert Malik reborn in a cyborg assassin body! She tries to stop him from using the sun gun and we learn its completely automated by Spider Slayers. She is forced to fight Malik, who is protecting Smythe, in a brutal battle, and we see within, locked in a metaphorical safe in the brain, Silver is trying to get out, she doesn't want to hurt her friend and superhero partner, she loves her! Malik however is the one in control, and there's so little of her left, she's just withering away.
Clash fails to get in place as Slayer tentacles smash the engines and he crashes into the sun gun. Fortunately, Slayers repair the ship as soon as it's hit, so he survives.
Miles and Ana work together, with Ana even saving his life from a Slayer. Miles leads the team through various traps and killer robots.
Sable manages to for a moment, take control from Malik, attacks a watching and giddy Smythe, forces him to give the password to his Slayers controls with some choice methods, and instruct Black Cat to get everyone out, she's going to set the slayers to explode. (This feature is meant to blow up a slayer if a hero manages to capture it, or if a hero gets really close to it and Smythe wants to kill him instantly)
Silver orders Felicia wait one minute for her, if she takes any longer leave. Smythe tells her that the Slayers don't have timers, they blow up immediately. So she’s going to die! He's happy about this, telling her it’ll be nice to know that even though he couldn't hurt Spiderman by killing her the first time, he gets a second chance now! She knocks him out! If she doesn't do this the Sun Gun will set the East Coast on fire. She tells Felecia to leave. Black Cat realizes this is the last time she’ll see Sable, and with her friend alive once more, she gets the closure she didn't before. She says goodbye to Silver Sable for good, they embrace, and she leaves with her team, along with the comatose Zodiac and Smythe as Malik retakes control, only to realize Sable has just activated the Slayers self destruct. He explodes, and the day is saved at a great cost.
The entire Sun Gun is destroyed as the heroes and defeated villains, save real of whom are or of their coma’s now that Malik is gone fly away in the Quinjet(they got in then blew open a hole in the area of the ship it was on to escape. Smythe begins to emotionally attack Ben and Felecia, but both Kaine, Queen Cat, and Silk simultaneously punch him out.
Back on earth, the teams all go their separate ways(or in the case of Silver and Black to their own separate books where they’ll be the focus) Before they leave, Silk, who normally has had a quasi friendship with Black Cat, (they're often rivals or of different minds about certain things but respect each other and look out for each other) tells Felicia she's sorry about what happened, and if she ever needs anything, she's there. They all say goodbye, and Felecia and Lilly go off to continue their careers as international Bounty Hunters, where Felecia will train Lilly to be a more skilled and effective hero, they’ll go on crazy adventures, and fight together for years to come.
Meanwhile, Carmilla Black and Scorpion approach the defeated Smythe and Zodiac. Scorpion explains he was approached by a man, well not really a man, but someone who could make dreams come true nonetheless. He asked the man, to make his greatest wish come true, that wish: To Be Feared. He releases a canister of nanoslayers onto all of them, transforming Smythe and the Zodiac into his robotic slaves.
Later, an eldritch abomination bent on destroying humanity( secretly working with another monstrous being from another dimension, Mephisto) rises from the depths along the west coast, leading the Avengers and Fantastic Four out of New York and to it. With them all gone Zodiac takes over New York. With Spider Slayers all over the place bad most gangs pledging allegiance to Scorpion, civilization quickly breaks down, Batman Zero Year style. Scorpion is basically a warlord. Meanwhile, Goblin Nation is back, and is also causing terror and destruction, led by Gabriel Stacy, a man who believes due to his Osborn Blood, he is by right the one true Goblin King, as well as the leading Spiderman villain all others should follow. Scorpion disagrees, leading to a Goblin Nation, Zodiac gang war, with The Slingers, The Slayers, and all of marvel’s street level heroes caught in the middle as the city is deteriorating. Parker industries tries to provide aid to the people of the city, but is attacked by Zodiac, as Scorpion believes this will lead to him losing power. Gabriel Stacy steals a bunch of symbiotes Scorpion has amassed, which he had planned to merge himself with before Goblin King stole them. Most are destroyed but one is kept to be turned into the Imp Symbiote.
The Avengers and FF mysteriously disappear in a vortex caused by the now monster, which is seemingly destroyed.
We will have Carlikuper become the Goblin Queen of Goblin Nation, and see that Gabriel had planned to kill Kingsley, but had decided to instead make him a Goblin Knight, subservient to him, as he was impressed that the man he originally thought was just a copycat of better villains had successfully killed Phil Ulrich. Kingsley is at this point subservient, as he knows he can't win against Gabriel.
The Slingers, Slayers, Kristy, now calling herself Jackpot, the remnants of Parker Industries, and the defenders will all come together to protect New York and get civilians into an old Doc Ock lair for safety.
Soon, it's an all out war in the streets between heroes and the two gangs for the soul of New York. Citizens as well band together to help out the heroes, using technology given to them by Parker Industries.
Silk will be shown to trust Ana Kravinoff and make an effort to befriend her. Ana will tell Silk about how she never wanted to be like Kraven, she had wanted Kraven and her mother to accept her. Now they never will though. Her mother is dead and her father believes she is impure to to her inhumanity. She believes that she Gabriel Stacy is similar after reading his background, and leave the team behind to try and reason with him. Unfortunately, he's so psychotic, manipulative, and having been raised for the sole purpose of making an evil monster that will hate Spiderman, that he can't be reasoned with, and instead tries to convince Ana her father will love her if she kills all the Spiders and takes over the city. Ana refuses, is captured, and Silk dies at Gabriel's hands saving her.
After this Gabriel will briefly be defeated by the Parker's, but end up escaping due to Mephisto.
We will also get a Gabriel Stacy/ Scorpion showdown, with scorpion wrongly thinking Gabriel is just a punk kid. Gabriel will end up beating him, and take control over Zodiac, with Scorpions wish to be feared being granted… when the Goblin Queen uses dark magic to turn Scorpion into a Scorpion monster.
With a founding member of the Slingers dead, they go directly after Gabriel, who has moved his base to the blown out remains of Parker Industries. He's defeated, the day is saved, order is restored in Ana resists the urge to kill him for what he's done, showing some real growth as a character that's been very slowly built up since she started in the very first volume of Slingers as a henchman of Scorpion. They mourn Silk, yet also celebrate the villains defeat and the fact they've saved the city. Then, the world goes black, and Mephisto laughs.
Amazing Spider-man Arc 22: All Good Things Must Come To An End
Peter wakes up, and kisses his wife Gwen. He steadies himself. He had a long night. Gwen asks if he's okay. He jokes he's still not certain whether or not Doc Ock broke one of his ribs or not. Gwen laughs, and they tease each other a bit before she remembers they need to get going for brunch at Harry’s. They head over to the Osborn mansion, where Harry and his second wife Felicia Hardy wait. We learn that he married MJ first but they divorced because of his drug addiction. Now though, he's cleaned himself up, and while the gang doesn't really interact with MJ anymore, from time to time they’ll see her in a movie. She's a successful actress now, and married to billionaire Tony Stark. This storyline will focus on Harry’s father Norman, after getting life in prison for attempting to murder Gwen years ago, being released from prison, claiming to be sane. Things are going okay, Peter visits Aunt May and her husband Nathan Lubensky. Peter has his hands full with friends,, family, and the mysterious new Hobgoblin trying to kill Norman. It's not Ned Leeds or Mccindale as far as he can tell, as they're both in prison. He gets some photos to bring to Jameson at the Bugle, who fumes over Spiderman being a menace. At his home, we see signs Peter and Gwen lived in England at some point. There's an old Spider-UK suit shoved in the back of the closet. At night though, when Peter lays awake, he thinks he has a perfect life, well almost perfect…. He has the girl of his dreams, friends, family, he's even but something's missing. No matter what happens, something's always missing. He sits there in the darkness, his wife beside him asleep, and something’s missing.
He confides in Harry(who knows he's Spiderman and helps him out with it) about these feelings. He says he was having feelings like that before the drugs and MJ leaving him. He suggests seeing a therapist, or a doctor.
Peter goes to stop a Doc Ock led bank robbery, and questions if he knows any therapist stuff, or if he's not that kind of Doctor.
The next day we get to see Norman trying to reconnect with his son and make amends for the too high standards he set for him as a child. He should have just appreciated his son for who he was. Harry forgives him, and he goes to make amends to Peter and Gwen. He also tells Peter that he's still wealthy, and would be glad to help fund that “thing” that made him try to kill them in the first place now. Gwen, despite him being sane now, still seems terrified of him. Peter decides against this, telling him it's nice of him, but he's fine on his own. Norman tells Peter he's always been like a son to him….but he should have said yes. Hobgoblin's attacks, Peter fights the Hobgoblin, revealed to by Lilly Hollister, who grabs Gwen. Norman gets into a Green Goblin suit, and Peter follows them to the nearest bridge as he announces that he's sorry for what he did, and he's not going to make the same mistakes he made last time! This time the girl dies for real! Peter realizes he loves Gwen, and nothing else matters, pushing away the feelings of something being missing. He saves her, beats the two Goblins, brings them into the police, and romantically swings through the city with Gwen. He's happy now, and doesn't need anything else at all. They pass a billboard for a MJ Watson led drama. It has one of those cheesy taglines “What would you do trapped in a better world, with no memory of the one you love most”
We’ll get to see another story with a few other differences. Dr Strange died years ago and is buried at Avengers Mansion along with Johnny Blaze. The Fantastic Four have been in space for years now as well. We get transmissions every so often from their ship as it travels the galaxies.
Peter is attacked by Venom on the way to the Osborn house. , but not the Venom he knows, this isn't Flash Thompson or Lee Price, this is someone he's never met! The man also seems to know everything about him. Brock tells him that this world is wrong! It's not what it's supposed to be, Mephisto changed it! Peter doesn't know who that is. Eddie tells him, Mephisto changed reality so he could beat you, prove you and MJ’s love isn't strong enough to beat him! He's afraid of it! Peter questions? MJ? What! Eddie, while fighting, tells him he’s married to MJ, they have a daughter named May! Peter gets flashes. Something's wrong. Something's wrong! Eddie tells him, Gwen isn't his wife! Peter stops. No. He's lying. He can't imagine a world without Gwen. He beats up Eddie, with Harry Osborn appearing and shooting him with a sonic gun. He questions if Peter is okay, Peter says yes, and Venom was trying to get in his head.
Peter returns home, wakes up to a little 9 year old girl standing over him, he and Gwen learn it’s a girl named Sarah that Miles Warren aka The Crocodile create from Peter and Gwen’s DNA. She escaped his labs to find her true parents. They take her in. Things are going great. Peter realizes the hole he was trying to fill, that one thing that was missing, was his daughter. They, with the help of Tony Stark, who’s wife is at work when they visit, are able to adopt Sarah without any problem. Peter had no idea Crocodile was still alive, and prepares to go looking for him.
Meanwhile, Venom has escaped from prison, and Peter prepares to defend his family. Harry tells them over the phone to go to his place. He owns Oscorp, so his home is basically a fortress. They go, Venom attacks, warns Peter Harry isn't who he thinks he is! Together they can kill him! Peter fights the psychotic monster off, and ends up evacuating the building as it catches fire and some spare pumpkin bombs hidden by Norman go off. Venom is burning up, but with his last breath, he stabs Harry through the chest. The something else happens. A voice tells him that he is in control now, and the Symbiote shoots out, killing Gwen and Sarah. Peter runs out carrying Harry, tries to help seal the wounds with web fluid, but Harry dies in his arms, and the others are already dead, for what seems like no real reason at all except he made the wrong call, and put him in harm's way. His best friend is dead. His family is dead.
Mephisto appears out of Harry's body. He had previously been possessing him. He speaks softly and seductively
“Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith”
He loves that song. Well, he loves anything that's about him. He asks Peter if he's ever seen Needful Things? Peter asks, who is he? Mephisto pauses. He tells him he's the devil.
He’ll save them all, on one condition. He wants Peter and Gwen’s marriage. Peter looks up. He realizes now. He was… It… No! No it can't be! It's not… no it was real. Mephisto made it real. Gwen was alive out there. He has all of the memories, but it's wrong. It's not. He tells Mephisto softly that that it was a good plan. A good reality to make for him. He never would have realized that everything he knew was a lie, but Mephisto had to get greedy. Mephisto laughs. He tells Peter he can take the pain away! Peter attacks him, punching him with an uppercut that shoots him off the ground, and is then slammed into a wall in the burning building by Mephisto. Mephisto tells him it was a good world. Not too perfect, if it was too perfect Peter would have realized. Still, at this point it's the only world he has, so go ahead, give him the marriage! They live, he lives, it's not quite his world, he’ll never see MJ or Gwen again, but they'll be out there alive and well. Peter tells him no. He won't do it again. Now, give him back his life! Mephisto laughs, and Peter warns him. In this universe, Loki still owes him a favor. Mephisto stares in shock. Peter disappears.
Loki sits on the throne and questions the demon in front of him. So, his pitch is that he wants to go to earth, and steal souls through a… demonic version of truth or dare? Loki tells the demon, that that's dumb, and to go back to the drawing board. He wants new ideas by tomorrow. Good ideas.
Peter arrives as next in line, for a meeting with Loki, and Loki gets a strange sense of deja vu.
Slingers Arc 17: All Good Things Must Come to an End
With the Slingers not existing in this reality, we’ll have it split up into:
Ultimate Spider Man in the Ultimate Universe. Ultimatum PART 3: ULTIMATE ULTIMATION is happening.
A Scarlet Spider Kaine book where he fights evil mad scientist clone Ben Reilly in Salt Lake City.
And a Black Cat book where Felecia is secretly a vigilante fighting Scorpion but doesn't tell her husband because the stress could drive him back to drugs.
With some of these characters, there’ll be moments where things seem off to them, but they aren't sure what. Miles will learn the truth from his universes Reed Richards, The Maker, who is trying to kidnap him because he knows something consumed an alternate earth and Miles has its energy on him. He interrogates Miles, who knows nothing. He then scans him and is able to tie the energy back to Earth 666 and another world that is a sub-world of 616, like the Negative zone.(that's Mephisto's hell world) The Ultimates save Miles.
Mad scientist Ben Reilly will have the same idea after discovering both him and his arch enemy have this energy on them, then team up with Doc Ock(who is still evil on 616) and they go to travel dimensions and learn what's going on, kidnapping Miles to scan him right after he escaped Maker. Miles will find himself locked up with Kaine and Ana Kravinoff, the others captured by evil Doc Ock and Ben thus far in Rielly’s Salt Lake City laboratory. These characters don't know each other, so they all introduce themselves, we learn Ana is a supervillain with both of her parents in this reality, before Ana frees herself and gets the rest of them out.
They fight Doc Ock and Rielly, Miles realizes Kaine and Ana are both trying to kill their enemies, since in this universe Kaine is basically the Spider-Punisher. Miles tries to stop them, they fight, he ends up saving the villains, and has to fight them himself. He loses, and while Ben escapes, the still villainous Ana Kravinoff kills Doc Ock. Miles is angry, but decides it's more important to look through the now abandoned lab and see what's going on, and while talking they all discover that they're all getting the same feelings that something isn't right. Kaine chalks it up to depression and claims its best to either ignore it or punch out criminals until it goes away.
Discovering some of Ben’s research on something changing the time stream Miles disagrees.
Amazing Spider Man Arc 23: The End
Peter explains what's happened to Loki the best he can. He doesn't understand all of it, his memory of the way things really were is fuzzy. But he knows one thing. He wants things to go back to the way they were. He doesn't want to but he owes Peter a debt. He must honor his bargain. He explains that this is actually good for him. See, his demons have been on the brink of civil war recently due to the rumors Mephisto is back. He's quelled the uprisings so far, but Mephisto is only getting more powerful, and he's gonna come to retake his throne soon. Loki is more a trickster, that's how he ended up king of hell, he doesn't have the raw power of Mephisto. Most of the people who could have opposed Mephisto are dead in this reality, so they have to think outside the box to someone Mephisto doesn't know about, someone he couldn't kill, because he couldn't find him….
They travel to The Arctic Circle, to high glacial peak. They travel to the top, then descend inward into the ice cave system, Peter having to use his Spider abilities to not trip and fall. Loki explains they're visiting a powerful sorcerer who has been in exile here since the 17th century. If anyone can beat Mephisto he can. They have to fight off a snow monster, but are able to trap it in a pit and continue on their way. Loki comments on the high levels of magic here. Eventually, they arrive. Deep within a glacier in the most remote location on earth, he lives. Judas Traveller.
Peter's memories have been shown to be jumbled this entire time, and he can't remember if things are one way or another. He knows he has a daughter, he knows he had a different wife. There faces are blurred though. Part of Mephisto's magic. Also, when he thinks of Gwen dying, he remembers it two different ways. He also has memories of supervillains that don't exist in this universe, and of a friend, someone like a son to him, but not his son. Someone who also wore a Spiderman costume. He might have been called Slinger? He's not sure. He does remember that whoever the man in front of him is, he's very powerful, very dangerous, and is messing with his Spider sense. He demands to know who this is. Judas also wants to know who they are, claiming it's been 200 years since his last visitor. Loki calms everyone, informing Traveller they are on the same side as him. Judas senses hell and chaos magic on Loki. Loki tells Judas they need his help to defeat his greatest foe, Mephisto. Judas refuses. He attempted to kill Mephisto once, and for that he was cursed to this immortality. He will remain in his exile, he will read his books on magic, memorizing every detail, he will drink his tea, he will philosophize to himself about the nature of good and evil, and then, when the sun consumes the Earth, he will finally be allowed to die. Peter demands this man help them. He's their last resort. Mephisto took his family and he's the only way they can get them back.
Judas Traveller shoots Peter’s mind with energy, revealing his backstory.
He was a powerful sorcerer from the 17th century, a second in command to The Ancient One himself. He had seen the struggles, the wars, the death, his own wife had been claimed by the evil of the world, leaving him and his two children behind. He had decided, after learning he was set to become the next sorcerer supreme, that in order to prevent evil, he must learn its root cause. What allows monsters like his arch enemy, the demon Mephisto to thrive. He realized that in order to destroy evil, he must abolish free will. The Ancient One stopped him, and as punishment, he was cast out from Kamer Taj, and given the curse of immortality, so that he may watch evil continue through the generations, unable to stop it. He watched his children grow into the elderly and die, and unable to handle the constant new horrors each generation brought, he came here, to the most remote location on earth. Peter questions if they've ever met, and learns they haven't.
He asks Judas to help them again. Keep evil from claiming his family! Judas refuses. They're going to die anyway. Peter tries to explain the situation, that Mephisto has taken his memories, changed the past. Judas comments he's more powerful than he was last time they fought. Loki uses some trickery to attempt to convince Judas to help him, explaining that if he wins, the ultimate evil, his arch enemy, is defeated, if he loses, then he dies and can be done with his immortality. Judas joins them and they go to try and find a way to stop Mephisto.
They’ll all return to New York, Judas will hate it because of how dirty and immoral the modern world is. Loki will comment on how he's been visiting earth since he was a child, the past was dirty and immoral too. It's actually a lot better now, food, air conditioning….
Peter will speak to Loki about plans to defeat Mephisto. Loki suggests trickery, Peter thinks of something, Loki will hear it in a whisper, tell him it's really good, but will probably end all reality. They’ll go with something else instead. Maybe a mystical artifact.
They also comment on, while trying to come up with plans, that it's possible if Mephisto died, since he's more of a concept than a person, everything could turn back to normal.
Anyway, we’ll have to deal with Peter trying to figure out what is part of this world and what isn't, his family and friends recent deaths that he's trying to reverse, as Judas goes to the long abandoned Sanctum Sanctorum looking for the magical artifact previously used to trap Mephisto. Hopefully, with two super sorcerer's like him and Loki, they’ll be able to successfully capture him in it. Judas doesn't tell the others that he's not sure that they’ll be able to turn the world back to how it was though. Meanwhile, villains like Karliicuper the goblin Queen and Gabriel Stacy will appear in this world, summoned from the void that used to be their realities, an oblivion of things that could have been or had been but don't exist and never will.
The team will discover that with a certain mystical artifact they can drain the energies of Mephisto, and use them themselves to get the world back to normal. But the artifact is in Kamar Taj. Loki finds it easy enough to get, and prepares to teleport them all there, when Mephisto attacks with the goblin Queen and Gabriel. Loki is kidnapped and must fight Mephisto, making it impossible for him to find the time to teleport Spiderman and Judas Traveller. Judas has his magical energy drained fighting his old foe Mephisto, who comments on all the times he's used his face, pretending to be him in mockery, to do horrible acts. (His role in the clone saga)
Judas and Spiderman manage to barely escape, and prepare to head to Kamar Taj. Before they go, Peter decides to stop at Tony Stark’s home, and see if MJ recognizes him. She doesn't, and when he tries to explain it, she thinks he's a crazy person. Black Cat attacks, wanting vengeance for her husband, believing Peter did it, he escapes, Judas tells him it was foolish to try that, she never would have known the truth anyway. They head to Avengers Mansion, where everyone demands to know what's going on with Peter, especially Stark, who thinks Peter broke into his house and behaved like a crazy person in front of his wife. Peter promises to explain everything, but he needs a Quinjet first. They refuse, he and Judas fight through the Avengers and steal one.
They’ll travel to Tibet, discover Kanar Taj is locked up tight, and has been for years, since Mephisto killed Dr Strange and the Ancient One in battle. Judas uses an old trick, having replenished his magical energy, to get in. They meet Baron Mordo, the current sorcerer supreme, from whom they learn the ancient one and Dr Strange died trying to protect that magical artifact,
Mephisto took it though. So there is no possible way to get it. There is no hope. They leave. The avengers arrive, having tracked Spider Man down. He claims he's gone nuts and would like to get psychiatric treatment. Take him away! He's completely given up. Judas tries to tell him there must be another way, but he refuses to listen. He was trapped on a post apocalyptic world for five years once. He never gave up then trying to get back to his family. It's seems like he has now. Judas tells Peter he's checked, and Loki is alive, just trapped by Mephisto's energy. Thy could saw him! The avengers try to question Judas, and he teleports out.
Peter, within a few weeks, ends up in a facility for mentally unwell super beings. He finds Norman Osborn. He came here not because he had given up, but because his last chance was in here. He never gave up. Both Mephisto and Osborn worked with Crocodile… Jackal… it doesn't matter which name was used. He demands to know if Norman worked with Mephisto here. Norman smiles up at Peter, says he has, and asks what Peter wants. Peter needs help. He happily accepts. Peter wants a meeting with Mephisto. Norman organizes it and rambles about how Peter is like a son to him. Peter and Mephisto meet.
Mephisto has grown power hungry, he's become more and more obsessive. He's more reckless, crazier, and easier to trick. Peter asks, one chance. A fight between him and Norman Osborn. Twenty four hours of prep time for both of them.
If he wins, he gets the power to turn the world back to it was before, if he loses,he’ll give up, and accept his new life. Mephisto agrees.
Peter is left in the asylum, but Norman is whisked away to be prepared by Mephisto. Peter is obviously planning something. So Norman needs more power. He grants Norman some of his demonic power, which Norman will, as Norman does, use to amass more and more power, draining magical energy wherever he goes, rallying demons against Mephisto, and killing off Mystical heroes. He becomes more and more demonic looking as time goes on. Peter meanwhile, sits back and relaxes at the asylum, and gets a surprise visit. MJ has come to him, to tell him she still doesn't know what he was talking about, she has no idea why he would co back into her world, but when she saw him, she felt love. She felt compelled to tell him something. Something she hasn't said since college: Go Get Em Tiger.
After 24 hours, they prepare for battle, and Norman immediately turns on Mephisto. He's trying to drain Mephisto, Mephisto is trying to drain him. Norman begins to transform into a Mephisto like being as Mephisto loses more and more power. Peter tells a disintegrating Mephisto that he just got thwarted by the power of love. Mephisto stares in in disbelief. Norman eats him. Norman then questions Peter. How is he going to get out of this? Did he really not account for this on his plan? Peter confesses he thought everything would go back to normal after Mephisto was beaten. Norman realizes, Mephisto was holding this world together. He created this place, it was part of him. He was one with everything… and now that he's gone. The world goes black.
Peter finds himself dead, only for a few moments. Aunt May and Uncle Ben tell him it's just the universe rebooting. They also tell him how proud they are of him, and that he's done more than enough. He should be happy, be beside his family as long as he can.
Then the world comes back.
The Slingers: The End
Basically them being recruited by Kristy, who’s powers have kept her from being affected by Mephisto( the powers grow and change depending on the threat. Guessing what they’ll do next correctly is like winning the “jackpot” She figured that out.) She's been working with the Earth 666 heroes. Spider Goblin will at one point meet this world's Ben Ulrich, who died Uncle Ben style in his world.
Epilogue
The world is safe. In most ways the same , but with a few small differences. Judas Traveller decides to remain in this modern world and learn to enjoy it. May and Normie in his Imp Symbiote both become Slingers. With Imp being a hero the Osborn curse has ended. Miles and Ana seem to have become friends over time. Kaine meets with Sarah, Doc Ock meets with Anna Maria, and Eddie meets with Jackie. They talk about their relationship, and Jackie still loves him. She's going to find a way for them to be together. Then, the anti venom suit pulls back, and with a normal human hand, she can touch him without hurting him. Spider Goblin finds this world's Ben Urich, and tries to think of how to approach him. Parker Industries is rebuilt. Kristy will reveal to MJ as they both sit on a couch that while at full power she learned that Mephisto had been making everyone a little bit dumber during Superior Spider Man so no one would realize what was going on. So she shouldn't feel bad.
Peter and MJ enjoy a break together. Peter confides in Miles that he's proven himself time and time again as Spiderman. He’d like him to take over for a while. Right now, he just wants to be with his family. The Parker family walks off into the sunset, and I end my run on Amazing Spider Man.
