You may recognize Andrew Garfield from The Social Network or the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man. What you may not know about this kind-hearted Brit is that like many of TakePart's favorite unsung heroes, he is dedicated to helping orphans worldwide.
Andrew realized how passionate he was about this work when he met Dr. Jane Aronson, founder of the Worldwide Orphans Foundation. In 1997 Dr. Aronson started her foundation after seeing how little love and care many orphans were receiving in some of the world's most impoverished places. Today WWO is active in five countries and is successfully helping orphaned children become healthy, independent, and productive members of their communities.
