Stan Lee's Cameo Confirmed For The Spider-Man Reboot

This is not a surprise after all, but Stan Lee has just revealed that he is confirmed to do the cameo in Marc Webb's new Spider-Man film. Check it out!

Via his Twitter, the legendary comic book writer has revealed that he will be doing the cameo scene for the new Spider-Man film:

"My pal Avi Arad, producer of the new Spider-Man movie, called to tell me how excited he is about the film. Then came the surprise — Avi told me my cameo is all set for Spidey 4, and when he described it, I realized it’s the best, most unusual one yet!"

"I wish I could tell you what my cameo is, but that would kill the surprise. But I'll tell you this much—I’m finally in an action scene! Since it’s common knowledge that people go to the movies just to see my cameos, I don’t know why EVERY movie doesn’t have one for me. After we save the world, our next mission will be to convince Hollywood to have an Oscar for Best Cameo. Till then—Excelsior!"

It's great to see Stan enjoying in this little cameo roles, because he truly deserves it...

The untitled Spider-Man reboot is set to hit theatres on July 3, 2012!

please, don't let him interact with his creation. Kinda like breaking some dimensional wall. Stan is the man and I can't wait for this and we get teaser and stills

@ComicCritic: I don't see how interaction will break a wall. I mean we as fans know who Stan Lee is, and should be happy to see him interact in anyway, but I'm not sure if the general public realize who he is until some interviewer/tv talk show person tells the audience that.

@TBT...his cameo's at first were funny, they just randomly panned to an elderly gentlemen who was Stan Lee and we fans get all giggly. In FF2 he breaks the laws of Logic by saying his name is Stan Lee, granted that is FOX but still. At least in the Iron Man movies his cameos were funny. The 3rd spider-man cameo was way too surreal.

Haha, this is awesome news! :D I can't think of anyone more deserving of a cameo than Stan, and I'm glad to hear it's confirmed, unlike the Captain America one. Nice find Wolvie!

i'd be more surprised if he turned up in a "dc" movie.

he should be in every marvel movie where he created the character.

no surprise really is it.

@Ayakilu: This man is a hero to a lot of us who brought a lot of us some of our favorite characters of all time. Get off this site. Even if it wasn't The Man you were talking about, what is wrong with you? We've never had reason to believe Stan Lee is in anything less than great health for his age. He's always articulae and knows what he's talking about. I just don't even know how you could "hope" that. He's not suffering.

Oscar For Best Cameo? Stan'd win the BEST ACTOR category for a 10 second role! What're you talkin' about, Best Cameo? Psht.

@Deadshot I'd agree, if only Stan could act like Cliff Robertson or Martin Sheen. No offense meant, Stan might be hilarious in his little cameos, but he should by no means quit his day-job. He's really not a very realistic, modern actor.

And @AiyalKilU - GO [frick] YOURSELF, ASSHOLE!

Seriously Stan should have cameos in every flick based on a Marvel comic until he's unable to. Stan the Man deserves at least that much. Personally I can't lay eyes on him without a huge grin coming over me. I will shed tears the day he leaves us and hope that is not for a long time to come.
