The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Many thanks to Twitter's @Movie_Maniac_ for the heads up.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dennis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3rd, later this year.

I haven't been overly impressed with the official posters, banners and promo art that have come out of this movie. Too much weird pointless graphics. Spiderman looks pretty cool, but they are taking some nice shots of him and then placing him in some terrible artwork. I'd rather see a solid black background than this.

Whoever makes the promo posters for this movie needs to get fired... They all just make it look bad, but in the actual film footage it looks a WHOLE lot better. It's giving this film a bad name.

It confuses me because in the still and posters his shoes changed to a fabric type red but then in the trailer and videogame trailers the shoes still look like they have the silver or white shoe bottoms. So are the shoes gonna change in the final months of post or are they doing it to just please us fans and when we get in the theatre we are bamboozled when we see whit shoe bottoms.
