Here is some of the reviews from the site.

We will see for our self when the movie opens on July 3rd, 2012.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Even though it only has 11 reviews, the ratio of good to bad is actully is an early indication of how well it will be recieved by other critics, just look at The Avengers early reviews ratio for proof.

@Ironnick I have seen it swing both ways, depends where the early reviews come from, lets say hypothetically these 11 were all from Spider-Man fan sites, then would now doubt start higher and go lower, the same if these were from wehatespiderman.com would be the opposite.

Overall too early to judge, however I see this ending up around the 85% mark seeing as its average score so far is 7.3

Had the chance to see it last Saturday. Really nice. I haven't seen Avengers yet (not out here yet), but this was quite nice. The movie gives a better feel for what made this hero stand out for all these years. There are some things Spidey fans might not be crazy about, but overall, it gives them a better feel for the character than the last bunch of films did. I think they'll overall love this take on their favorite hero.

Will take my kids to see it this weekend I think. Will see how they like this show (they never saw the others).
