Tobey Maguire Weighs In On The SPIDER-MAN Actors Who Followed Him And Possibly Playing A Superhero Again

Tobey Maguire hasn't appeared in a movie since 2014, but would he consider joining another comic book movie franchise? He talks about that and Tom Holland & Andrew Garfield's version of Peter Parker here.

Tobey Maguire was the first actor to bring Peter Parker to life in a live-action setting with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man back in 2002, but he hasn't actually played the wall-crawler since way back in 2007.

The actor is focusing on producing these days and hasn't acted since 2014, but would he be open to returning to the superhero genre? "I just don't really have an 'I would or wouldn't do' mindset," he says. "I'll just do whatever. Whatever it is that comes that I feel called to, that may or may not fit in any kind of box." In other words, if the right role comes along, he'll consider it!

The directors of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse reportedly considered asking Maguire to reprise the role of Peter Parker in the movie but things didn't pan out that way for whatever reason.

As for what the actor thinks about Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland's versions of Spider-Man, he adds: "I haven't seen all of them. What I've seen, I've appreciated. I like both of the actors a ton. I think they're both super talented. I would just say I appreciated them and I like the actors, I like the choices."

If Endgame is gonna go into alternate timeline and parallel universes (which I hope it actually doesn't), I don't see any reason why they couldn't do a live-action Spider-Verse movie

Saw Shazam good funny movie and lots of fun. I give it 4 Stars out of 5 Stars.

My only complaint was that they made Shazam a clown through the whole movie. Wished at least the end they would of made Shazam more serious in the final battle.

One viewing is enough for me.

Tobey wasn't my favourite Spider-Man but I'd love to see him, Andrew and Tom in a Spider-Verse film together.
