Looks like not too many people are really hyped for The Amazing Spider-Man movie. It seems like Marc Webb's take on the life of Peter Parker is currently being drowned in all the Avengers and Dark Knight Rises fervor. The Avengers trailer shattered records and The Dark Knight Rises will soon release a 6 minute prologue and a second trailer. I know it's early but as Marvel Studios has just shown with The Avengers, it's a good idea to build early buzz before you gear up for the big marketing push. The Amazing Spider-Man is an upcoming American superhero film based on the comic book of the same name that is currently in post-production. It is the fourth Columbia Pictures film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and the first film in a rebooted Spider-Man film franchise. The film is being directed by Marc Webb. The cast includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The film will portray Peter Parker as he is developing his super powers in high school. It is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on July 3, 2012.

Some people are such imbeciles that they don't even know the character but through Raimi's movies; what can you expect. I'm hyped for a movie that might actually show us a character like the real Peter Parker instead of wimpy and not at all geeky Tobey.

there is nothing to worry about.

1. it's spidey - that alone will get kids into the theatres

2. sony will market the heck out of this movie

3. the 'moneyshot' trailer hasn't been released yet

The funny thing is, every person at my school who I've asked seems excited for it, and says it looks better than the previous series. Except for one kid who thinks Spider-Man and Batman should both just be in The Avengers, instead of Captain America and the Hulk, and that Megan Fox should be cast as Wonder Woman. So, I don't really take his opinion seriously.

I'm loving everything about this movie, especially The Lizard. My anticipation couldn't be higher.

Even my 12th grade English teacher is looking forward for this movie.

Ok #1 that Drapish chick doesnt even know the difference between Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane. She clearly thinks Emma Stone is playing Mary Jane, what a dumb bitch.

Secondly, these people don't seem to be at all familiar with the story of Spider-man. So what the costume changed, but the director is following a story that is far more faithful to the comics then Sam Raimi's movies were. Why are these morons commenting on the movie?

I am just not feeling this movie. I guess I just need to see more footage. Nothing about this movie is exciting me so far. I like Andrew Garfield and all but he seems a little dull as Peter Parker (from the small amount of footage I've seen) because I want a Spider-MAn who cracks jokes not being broody and emo.
