VIDEO GAMES: First Image From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2's Next-Gen Release

Set for release in May 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, and PC, the first official image from the next-gen The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game tie-in promises perhaps the most lifelike version of the wallcrawler on gaming systems ever.

According to La Press (who revealed the still above), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game will feature more challenges, an improved and more realistic web-swinging system and an overhauled fighting mechanic. As with the first instalment, this follow up will encompass more than just the movie it's based on, while New York City is set to be more alive, with consequences for not fighting crime thanks to a new "Hero" system. As we've mentioned above, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, and PC.

I really enjoyed the first, The Amazing Spider-Man game. Especially with, The Lizard. I wonder who some of the villains are in this game.

Awesome graphics, life-like Spider-Man, upgraded swinging mechanics, upgraded fighting system, and a "hero" system with consequences and making choices like in inFAMOUS. I just fangasmed 1,000,000,000,000 times.

The bad thing about it is that it's a movie game. They should just make a Spider-Man game branched out in it's own universe in this style kind of like the Batman: Arkham Series.

I think i'm a glutton for punsihment when it comes to beating difficult things in gaming. I spent hours playing COD 4 on veteran mode going for every achievement and have went after numerous platinum trophies that a lot of people I knew won't even attempt because they they think they're too challenging.
