With great power comes great responsibility?

With great power comes great responsibility? Really? I don´t think so.

No, not only punches people, but dosen´t care about nobody.
He also killed Sandman. Tobey version of Spider-Man was only about revange. It´s not responsibility at all.
Also he did not tell truth to Harry. He stole Eddie girlfriend and more and more. There are so many things. Tobey as Peter Parker is bigger jerk and asshole. Only cares about himself.

Did you watch even a movie?

So, me saying that half of the things Peter did in the video was under the influence of the symbiote is spamming?

@TheManFromMars I know, when commenting article from FreedomFreeLife you better have backup-copies.
And BTW: No, Spiderman didn't kill Sandman, he tried to, thought he succeeded, but he really failed because he underestimated the capability of his opponent.

Problem is TASM above all lacked a soul and the positive values associated with Spider Man/Peter Parker. In the end TASM was all abut looking cool, trendy and as Twilight as possible. Deal with that Webb wankers.

Okay lets see:
1. Peter beating the crap out of the killer: Before he realised who he was.
2. Second attack on killer: Peter simply twisted his hand out of self defense and the guy accidentally fell over.
3. beating the crap out of the Green Goblin: Green Goblin had been beating him senseless and threatened to kill his love slowly. It was self defence and he wasn't ready to kill.
4.Harry knocked out: that was an accident, Harry was attacking him and he simply wanted to stop him. He took him to the hospital afterwards.
The rest: Wasn't he under the influence of that symbiote?

Thus, you are wrong again so stop trying to get everyone to hate the Raimi films and start worshipping amazing Spider Man by posting articles that are inaccurate.

Ask, why did Harry want to kill Peter? Because Peter is [frick]ing liar who cant say anything to Harry

Symbiote? This does not give right to do those things still.
Peter attacked innocent guy and twisted his hand out, so it was not self defense at all, when Peter Parker went after the guy who did not kill Uncle Ben.
He was no killer at all.

Why do you delete my comment? Peter has little control over the symbiote, it amplifies rage kinda like the hulk. Read a comic for god's sake.

Despite what The Amazing Spider Man would have you believe, Peter Parker never broke a final promise. "Don't tell Harry." Harry wouldn't like the news that is father is a murderer let alone the fact that he killed himself. He already had daddy issues.

Innocent? Whether or not he fired the bullet, his actions led to the death of Uncle Ben. Everyone? even the police told that he was the killer. Peter did not know what really happened, just that the evidence pointed to this guy. He definitely stole his uncle's car. He twisted his hand, he didn't break or injure it. Just pain. Guy fell by accident. No matter how hard you try,it's ovious that this Peter Parker was not a douchebag. Not like Andrew.

I preferred TASM because I think it was the better made film out of the four that have been released so far, in almost every regard. But Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 will always have a special place in my heart, simply because of the hours spent watching them in my childhood. But I still think people are very biased against TASM, and are very hypocritical when discussing the things TASM 'got wrong' compared to Raimi's films.

One thing I will say about Peter's responsibility (or lack of) in the first movie - while Uncle Ben's murderer falling out of the window may have been an accident, Peter made no attempt to save him. And I really don't understand the Twilight comparisons people keep drawing with TASM - if anything, it was trying to emulate Batman Begins by heightening the realism of the film, and to an extent Iron Man through the significance of technology and the humourous beats in the film. I guess the Twilight comparisons come from their dress sense (which is still quite different). Guess what - that's how most teens dress nowadays, so if anything the way the characters look plays into the realism - as does the moments where characters, such as Peter, show more human qualities like making mistakes, breaking promises, etc.

Remember - Peter Parker in the comics was never a perfect character who could do no wrong. He was thoroughly imperfect, struggling to balance his life, and constantly making mistakes which would later bite him in the ass, and his responsibility was trying to fix them. It's one of the things Marvel has always been praised for - realistic characters with real problems that make mistakes. And this is something that rings very true in TASM, and was near absent in Raimi's films.

Agreed with ACira.
It was realistic Peter Parker, but people call it Twilight to look self more awesome.

Most people never heard Justin Biber song or anything, but because some people say:" i hate him and he is wronst singer ever." then those people who never heard Justin Biber song als are going to say: yeah, he sucks and kinda thing.

People just say what others says. Kinda sad.
Teenager who has girlfriend = automaticly Twilight movie(by TASM haters).

Well JB does suck so I don't see your point.

Realistic? Okay. So Peter Parker is a more realistic nerd in ASM. Yeah because nerds are all athletic, smart, attractive, nice, well dressed and likable. Sounds like a real loser.

Tobey is so unrealistic. He's super shy, awkward, not very attractive and weak. Not at all a realistic nerd at all.

I guess what I prefer about the Raimi films is that they use positive reinforcement to promote responsibility like the original comics. Spider man 1 and 2 inspired me to be a better person. That's why they will always be my favourite. Although, the new sequel has a lot of potential for greatness.

@hotshot101

See, you get it. The responsibility angle is a cornerstone of everything Spiderman. Mocking the police with contempt & effectively stealing a drink from a convenience store just ain't Peter or Spidey. Its just douchebaggery of the highest order.
